Neither, Family centered.

I will protect my family long before I would protect my religion or myself. And neither my religion nor I have a problem with that.

Another good question.

At first glance believed that God was at the center of my universe, but how wrong I was. God, sent me some trials, big trials -- and they were/are very telling, that I was not truly giving Him His rightful place. My family, responsibilities, etc.

they all had me... lol

He could hardly get in a word between duties, dedications and passions.

And very honestly, I am learning to become more reliant upon Him for instruction in the small daily task as well as the big. It's a process, but I am finding that God keeps his promises and doesn't lie, and truly things always work to the good when I remove as much of myself from the picture as I can, then there' s only Him.

The more I fight to be me and do my own thing the more He crushes me, which is the point to salvation, right. But I'm so glad He loves me enough to chastise me. :)

God bless.

Most definitely self-centered. You are always concerned with you. What affects you, what defines you, what enables you. Even if you claim that your life is God-centered, you are still worried about you. What can God do for you, where will your soul go when you die, and when and if God will answer your prayers. You are the center of your own universe.

Brother...
This is truly a question that hits the nail on the head for all of us. But in the end one can only speak for oneself.

For one thing brother.. i did not know what the " Self " was. I got a lot of help over the years to see that man is tripartite in his makeup.
We all have a spirit soul and body 1Thess 5:23
When man fell ... his spirit became deadened.. the soul became the Self and the body became the flesh.

To live according to the self is to tell the Lord that You want to live independently of Him... That YOu do not want Him to be governing who you are and anything to do with your life. You live for what you want and want to do no matter what. That He can take a backseat .. take a number and get in line.
You are the ruler of the roost and God can spectate if he wants but He has no input .

This is unfortunatly how many of us tend to live as Christians.
We do not want to suffer in any way. We want to do as we please. If the Lord tells us to wake up a little earlier to begin our day with Him we say No and keep on sleeping. If we have the choice to let our tempers and our mouths go in whatever fashion we desire then the Lord has no way to regulate us.

Brother... To be God centered is truly a mercy in this day and age. In His mercy He comes to us day by day in all kinds of situations to remind us of who we are. That we are not here to please ourselves ..but that we need our eyes unveiled to see that what is truly eternal and of any eternal weight and value is what God is CENTERED ON.
And what is this??

That Christ may make his Home in all our hearts through faith.. That We all will be gradually transformed and conformed into the Image of Christ through the daily working of the Holy Spirit indwelling us
That God will have not just Children but the grown matured sons and Heirs who can fight for Him and represent Him on this earth.

May we be so given to be God centered. That HE will be our unique center and Goal.. that we will have a governing controlling vision of God and what He wants in our lives as Christians individually and also as the ONE BODY of Christ

My life is very self-centered. I'm honest enough to admit it.

I really don't think that we can know enough about God to properly center our lives around it. Anything we'd do as an attempt to center our lives around God would still be centering around ourselves, as we'd center our lives around what we wanted God to be.

God centered. I pray to him all the time and ask him to guide me in everything I do. I try to be pleasing to God - I want him to be proud to call me his daughter. I try to treat others with love and compassion like Jesus did. I try to put others needs before mine.

I have to admit sometimes I am self-centered. I guess it is our sinful nature which makes us so. We have to admit that sometimes we are greedy, proud and envious. What is important, I think, is to acknowledge our faults, correct them and move on.
