My father sent me this in an e-mail.
I have never read the Bible, other than parts of Genesis for school. So if anyone wants to sum this up for me I'll appreciate it.

Psalm 32
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord impuneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance

Like...Christians believe in a man walking on water, rising up to heaven, heaven, talking snakes...etc.

But for Buddhists?

Seems to very very little written about him during his life which seems very strange for a man who could perform miracles? Anyone studying the (lack of) evidence would have to conclude that there is a great chance he didn't even exist?

Why do so many people have so much against Jehovah's Witnesses? Personally I've never seen a JW do anything wrong except stand up for what they believe in. People do that all the time, so what makes JW's so diffrent? Why don't people just listen to there message first and then make a conclusion. I mean people use to believe that JW's didn't believe in Jesus but then Jw's came out with the Follow the Christ district convention campaign. So why don't people just give them a chance and listen to them and not to the lies that others tell.
Opinions please. And some feedback from JW's.

Scroll down halfway to listen to his speech-it's about 2 minutes long. I'm sure you know the story, so just listen to his words...scary!

Bridal fairs are usually for women are'nt they? I kind feel I would be more part of things if I wore a blouse or high heels, somethiing like that, because you don't see many men in these shows. I guess I feel mens suits are too formal. We have a stand there but its just me running our stand this time, no help from the girls. I would love to try but would feel nervous! Should I do it, or am I gonna freak people out?

I have seen REPEATED posts of Christians saying, "God cannot be questioned!" or "Stop trying to judge God, God is above all human judgement."

But when a Christian wants someone from another faith to convert, they ask them to question and doubt the validity of their beliefs and to also question the Diety they worship.

How come, the same approach cannot be used with the Christian beliefs and Diety? Why when you question or doubt it, you are told, it is a sin or wrong to do so? Isn't that a bit unfair?

If we are to use that process to decide which faith to reject, why can't we use that same process to decide which faith to follow?

Why must we question ours but not yours?

How are we to know we are not just following another according to some Christians "false religion or false God" if we cannot judge and question YOUR God and his actions and what you say are his words?

Don't we have the right to use our God given faculties to weigh the differences?

the definition of the word "theory" in a scientific context?

Theory has a very different meaning in the scientific world. It's not a guess, or conjecture. For instance there is the theory of gravity, the theory of relativity... a theory is a body of experimentation, evidence, mathematical proofs, etc. that support a hypothesis. A hypothesis, for those who don't know, is an educated guess based on physical observations or prior experimentation.

The theory of evolution has been proved as best as science can prove anything, and it gains more and more evidence to support it almost every day. Those who call it "just a theory" either have a fundamental misunderstanding of science and the scientific method, or are making excuses to believe things that are not true.

Definition of scientist: A person who seeks to discover the nature of an event, object, or entity by logical reasoning, studying, experimenting and providing proofs for his conclusions.

Definition of theologian: A person whose premise is the belief in the existence of a supernatural entity whose nature cannot be grasped by the senses or logical reasoning. The theologian may not even admit to himself the possibility that his premise, on which all his study is based, may be false.

The purpose of affirmative action is to help make up for years of slavery in the USA, and Jim Crow laws. However, the practice has been abused to the point of granting it to ethiopeans, somalians, kenyans, and other africans who are NOT the descendants of american slaves. Some of them arrived in the USA no more than 5 years ago. If there is anything that can cause a white person to throw in the towel of multiculturalism is to be discriminated against in favor of a foreigner who does not deserve it. Whites receive 18 years of diversity indoctrination, but it's a fragile little lie.
One minute of a reality check. That's all it takes for an average white person to realize that they've been taken for suckers. Little by little, you can see how it's affecting school integration, elections, Supreme Court appointments, etc. Do african americans want these newer black immigrants here in the USA?

Lucifer, who we all know was, at one time, an angel...
wouldn't the fall of him and man mean that evil existed even before Satan? In order for Lucifer to betray God? Does that mean even GOD had a little evil in him, that maybe passed to his angels? How could Lucifer have turned against God being purely good Like GOD?...I thought God was the most pure form of Good there is.
I know he wanted to be like God but....how? There should have been no trace of evil within him or any of the angels for them to have thought that way.

I see a lot of people on this board asking why people get upset about race questions, or why people are pc. Frequently it appears to me that those most interested in talking about race are people who want to provoke others. Very infrequently do I see a question asked in a serious tone that is answered with real information as opposed to some rant. So why do people insist on talking about it? Is it JUST THAT, another avenue for rants and gripes?
