Absolutely!!

I just got rid of lots of baggy clothes and changed my style of clothing and streamlined my wardrobe.

Hubby have been re-creating a property we bought 9yrs ago, re-landscaping and then redecorating the inside for the past 3 yrs.

I have yard sales to let others have what I no longer use or want and keep cupboards and closets from stockpiling.

Now hubby and I are re-creating a whole new part of our lives called RETIREMENT.

If you're not creating and bringing in fresh wine, you're an old bag of stale grapes I say! :O)))))

I think we should go on learning, keeping up to date with current world affairs, and see if there are causes out there we could add some input and value to.

I'm a retired Real Estate Agent, other jobs before that, and professional dancer before that.

I also, reinvent my image every so often, by changing hairstyle etc. Obviously I don't go to the ridiculous, because of my age. but with three daughters it's great to get their input.

Now I am involved with a Drug Rehab Ministry, was in Zimbabwe in February for the 3rd time and able to preach, go into the bush and see what is happening. Still involved. I'm re learning my French, which I spoke fluently. After that I am going to get my Spanish up to date. Which I also spoke fluently.

I love my photography. I must have over 2000 Photographs, which need sorting! And DARE I say it. I do a lot photographs of my friends grandchilren, catching them at play etc. I like to take reality pics, and not formal. I GIVE THE NEGATIVES BACK TO THE PARENTS. I don't want any abusive remarks, for something that gives parents and grandparents the pleasure of capturing 'moments.' Not taking formal shots.

I'm also going to do a bookkeeping course. Because I think I need to!

I do a little photo journalism, a little writing. TROLLS I HAVE A PRESS CARD.

there is so much I still want to do.!

Usually on those big 0 decades, 30, 40, 50, 60 etc. I'm already looking forward to my 60th , may go back to south africa again. I think as long as you keep your mind active , choose positivity and happiness over negativity and pessism , can still laugh at yourself and other things and have fun, you'll age gracefully. I look forward, rather than backward, anticipating the fun I'll have not reflecting back on what I had when I was a kid and a teenager.

I'm definitely a member of the lifelong learning club (My father got his BS at the age of 79). Jusy retired and sorting out options. My daughter taught me that men can use cosmetics and get nails done! Am
learning marine science to use as a docent at an estuarium. Want to learn Spanish and to play the piano. Do gym workouts most days of the week. Working on finding a likeminded lady friend. (Did i mention that as an avid birder have gotten almost 500 birds on my lifelist.)........Yes, we can reinvent, in our own ways!!

I'm definitely a work in progress. If I don't continue to learn and grow it would make life pretty dull and I wouldn't be of much use to anyone.

Life is a great adventure for me, I don't know if I reinvent or if just evolve from one step to the next. I still have lots to do and see and lots to learn and I plan to enjoy all of it!

Definitely! I hope I never evolve too much to stop changing. I want to learn and experience and grow forever.

yep, about every 4-5 years....new look, new outlook. Keeps things fresh...think the next round, will go for the total tatoo look..what do you think. can a bald man look good in a mohawk? does having your tongue pierced hurt? On second thought, perhaps I will just stay the same old me. :-)

Sometimes, it's forced upon you. You can be in good shape one day, working 50 hrs/week, and then, you have an accident, etc & your life changes overnight. It's depressing, but if you want to survive, you adapt........The best laid plans of mice & men.......

I have "refined" myself until
I can refine no more. I've
outlived all my tune-ups and
now just coasting on the
progress of all my work.
I told you about my magic
mirror before, didn't I?
Well it always gives me the
right answer.
