I was climbing in Switzerland up a rock face and a handhold gave way and I fell back onto the slope we had just walked up. I lay there winded not realising that the rock that had come away and released a much bigger one which fell across my legs and then bounced off down the slope. It took my left leg off and I started to bleed profusely. I realised that I was going to bleed to death and for a second wondered how my mum was going to deal with my death. Then I thought I had better deal with the situation. I had two guys with me so I send one for help and told the other guy how to stop the bleeding by putting pressure on the artery (I was the only one who knew fist aid). They told me in hospital that it was touch and go as I had lost so much blood. I did pass out and came round as the loaded me on the stretcher but I did not see any lights, tunnels or have any out of body experience. Nor did I pray to any god but I learned one thing. There is no personal god up there looking after anyone just us here and we have to do our best for ourselves

I had the following nde/oobe experience which I have mentioned before!
In 1961 I had the following experience which is as clear to me today as if it happened yesterday.
My brother & I were riding our motorcycles near where I live today. An elderly lady suddenly ran onto the road in front of us causing us both to swerve & brake hard to avoid hitting her. Our motorcycles touched as my front wheel caught on his rear footrest which was down. This should have resulted in my bike being flipped up in the air with me still on it but something remarkable happened to me instead. My bike & my body were thrown into the air but I wasn't!!!
The whole incident happened in slow motion in a clarity of vision I have never experienced since.
I could see my brother kneeling by my body which lay on it's back on the tarmac some 10 feet away in front of where 'I' was. I felt a joy & elation of freedom that I cannot describe. The happiness I was feeling that my physical body was only a vehicle for the real me was overwhelming. I could clearly see & hear everything, including thoughts, as people began to gather around the scene. It was then I felt an unseen presence of someone by my side who wanted me to look at my brother. I did so & immediately became overcome by the awful intense sorrow he was feeling because he thought I was dead as did the people in the crowd gathered around. I desperately wanted him to know that I was ok.
That is the moment that I was suddenly back in my physical body and I spoke to my brother. There was a loud gasp of astonishment from the people standing around watching.
The realization that my true being is a spirit or soul that is entirely separate from the physical body has been the foremost influence on my life & thinking ever since.
I have been fortunate in my life to have had many wonderful experiences of the true nature & purpose of life. Life is a wonderful miraculous adventure, to be lived & experienced that we may evolve.
It is perfectly natural that someone without experience or interaction with those who have died to dismiss such things as fantasy. In time they will discover the truth for themselves.
Regards...

I nearly died last March, on the Operating Table, I was told that as soon as I went under my breathing changed at once, they had a hell of a job getting me back. But I don't remember it, no lights in tunnels or anything, I'm just glad that the Operating team was excellent and got me back in the end. It scared the hell out of me when I was told, I still get the shakes over it sometimes.

One thing that bothers me is that apparently people believe that the stopping of heart and lung actions is a kind of death. In actuality, until there is brain death there is no death.
Why do I say this? I have a heart condition were my heart stops and starts in a kind of seizures. Occasionally, my breathing does as well. However, my brain never slows and either kick starts my heart and reminds me to breath or I do a "Baby squeeze" type of action that gets my heart to start thumping regularly.

It was actually very relaxing.
I was younger, living in Hawaii. I would body surf all the time. Once, I was tumbled by a bigger wave and caught in its under toe. I was trapped under water and I knew it. After what felt like a minute, a voice in my head said it was OK to breathe. I told myself that I can't breathe, I'm under water. The voice told me it was OK, I was in an air bubble and I can breathe, it's OK, take a breath. I was about to, then I felt the ocean floor against my shins and I managed to push up and come up for air just in time.
I guess it was my body's way of giving up. It was very calm as I tumbled. I can't really explain it.
Had another one in the military.

i was in a car accident in 2006. The car flipped over 3 times and glass shattered all over my body. It was painful and i literally saw my moms face right before i realized we were going to crash (we were going straight, then my friend lost control at a sudden turn and smashed into the hill at 70mph. I fainted because next thing i knew my friends had pulled me out the window from the upside down mustang. We were lucky it didn't explode. Damn lucky since we weren't wearing seat belts.

I collapsed and was in a grey void. I was asked what I was doing there. I said I wanted to come home. I was told it was not yet time and I had to go back because I had more work to in regard to my family and others. I reluctantly returned and came to. I have now made balancing energies my life's work. It seems I was needed after all.

Yes. 3. The first I knew of all of them was when I regained consciousness (I have been unconscious far more than 3 times but the effect is the same) and said 'ouch' etc.
