Is it because we have all had to defend our beliefs, our values at one time or another? Is this the one thing we all have in common? Is it possible to approach eachother from that understanding that we all defend what is ours and not seek to smash or take away what belongs to another? I have a hard time remembering this. Do you?

I know this is not about Ramadan, but this date is coming, it is Oct 1 to 3. And I know that this part of the yahoo answers is visited mostly by muslims.
Hello brothers and sisters. I have a question. I have recently converted to Islam. I am Mexican and in our culture we have this holiday that is callled Day of the Dead. It is when we pray for the sake of our dead, also we arrange food on the table, flowers and candles, then we eat the next night. Is this something that I can still do? I mean I will be praying to Allah for my beloved dead.

I just saw a responce to a question saying that its proven in labs thats homsexuality is a choice ,will it isn't they may believe that people become that way but alot of people know that its not simply a choice u just don't walk up one day and say for now on I'm going to be gay. For Any one who believes that its a choice it suggestes that u can wake up one day and just be gay .Think about it, would a man marry another man if there wasn't reall feelings involed and would a women marry a women if there wasn't reall feelings invold the answer is no witch suggest that the feelings come from deep with in just like it does for straight people.U just can't decied one day hey I'm a women and I'm going to have emotional feelings for women cause I'm sick of men hurting me. It don't work like that although it seems like some women turn that way but i don't know. So what do u all think?

My best gal pal in the whole world keeps on touching me and im like wut the hell stop it. n e way i think she's gay but she WONT TELL ME!?! like honestly I enjoy it but I don't want her to have sex with me unless if I know for sure that shes rollin wit da rainbow! even dough she gives relli goooood haaaaaaannnnnnnndddd jobs I just feel so unCOMFiE doing so. He is a angel with no free will so everything he say is meant for something else (Tree of life) and not a lie because he uses it in a similar situation but not that particular one (Tree of Good and Evil) and is interpreted wrong.

I've heard this so many times I can't possible say where it started, but most recently in an answer right here a minute ago. I have also seen written somewhere (biography of Darwin? I'm not sure.) that this is a myth, and he did no such thing. Anybody have reliable references?

This used to be called the three R's.Maybe some of you remember that.
I would be in favor of schools not teaching about God, science, sex ed, and all the other virtues, therories, that parents should be teaching at home.I am not interested in evolution, and I really don't want some one like Jim Jones or David Koresh teaching my children about God.

I've just about completed a conjurer's circle with just the right balance of conjonctio, cosmic lemniscate, and tristitia that I'm certain will allow the dead to walk the earth (unless the lawn sprinklers come on and wash it away again). But its not like they can all stay in my garage, and most don't have the wealth of undead snobs like Dracula or Courtney Love, so they'll have to enter the workforce and earn their keep.

An "out of area" caller calls our house everyday, at least 2 times a day, And when we pick it up they hang up on us. This has been going on for a couple of months. I have a co-worker who recently transferred into our office. She talks nonstop, is loud, and abnoxious. She's seriously overweight and has offensive body odor at times. She comes to work early in the morning covered in cat hair (from her 5 indoor cats), and with dirt under her nails. It's difficult to even say hello to her, because she turns it into a full length conversation. So what is my problem? Her daughter is coming to visit from out of state. She is having a "meet and greet" my daughter party in her home. She will be serving a light dinner and drinks. I don't particularly care for this woman, but I know she has no friends, she has expressed that she is very lonely here and her only invitations are to co-workers. I think she is probably a good person, and I feel sorry for her, and I would feel bad if no one goes. But I could never eat anything in her home because I know she is unclean. Nor could I tolerate a full evening with her. Any suggestions???
