i never knew where the christian catholics got that from. i converted to islam 2 years ago. jesus was marys son . he is not God in any way. but a messenger sent to lead the people to the straight way. jesus himself said noone is good but God and ordered people to worship God alone. never did he say i am god or worship me or i am the son of God, never. in our quran jesus is just the son of mary. he was sent by God to show the people how capable God is of creating a human without a father. just like adam, he created jesus the same way by his hands. but when i ask christians what about adam he was created without a father or mother wouldnt he be gods son ,moreso than jesus? they cant answer me and stumble in their answer. because just as God created adam and eve he created jesus he said be and it was. mary carried jesus 9 months, fed him, burped him changed his diapers, took care of him taught him to walk, and trained him to use the bathroom. God is above human things such as these , God does not eat or drink or go to the bathroom he is holier and greater than that. and for someone to say mary is the mother of God is putting him lower in status than a human. and the nuns are spending their lives in worship, but arent really hearing the true messege of god. and they can never be married to jesus or what ever they say. God told people to marry and have children, by staying as they are they are going against God by not procreating and rasing more generations of believers. i wish i knew where they got all their information but that is what i believe

Mary is the mother of Jesus. BY the way, you made an absolute statement and then a relative statement in the same sentence. I'm not sure you can do that. If you say Mary is mother of God than you must believe in God and hence believe he did indeed create Adam and Eve.

mary was a repected woman who gave the birth to jesus!
I doesn't make sense that people portry her in any other light.
lets think of the conception topic first ok......their is an egg and a sperm that comes together simple so far...... What makes them become one ? The only answer is GOD. If you look to see the way a sperm travels just to get to the egg and how delicate this method of conception is, you'll better appreciate it. Do you think that GOD the almighty can't place sperm where he wants it to go? This was one of the miracles of GOD so people could worship him alone. This is the only obvious answer and the ones who started this jesus god thing are the ignorant fools who can't see or think outside the box. Jesus was blessed to be just a prophet of god who came to confirm the onesness of god like the previous scriptures. And , yes he had been given miracles like any other prophet was blessed with. He was just a regualar man like you and me and here's a thought I'll leave you with......
jesus used to burp, pass gass, go urinate , go defacate, get the picute yet? Why would god or god's son or any part of him still have to act like a man in the least bit. And if you think that life is a test, than why would god show you any part of him. Don't you get it??? The greatest benefit of the afterlife is to see god's face and if the ignorant fools want to make something divine, why didn't you choose adam ? He was without mother and father and had been in the presence of the almighty?? STOP , THINK, and find the truth in the religion outh there that says :
there is only one god
your born sinless
you will be judged on what you do
hell and heaven exist and only god is the judge
there are no priests or religious people in between you and god
and the things that god has commanded are:
you belive in only one god, belive in the angels and the books like torah, gospel, koran etc..
give charity (2.5% ) and that goes to the poor
pray 5 times a day ( think about the feeling of leaving church only on sundays ?? you probably feel god and you probably won't committ sin for a few hrs after you leave right? Well that is how a follower of Islam feels 5 times a day)

God knew what was to come. He's had what 1,000 years to formulate a plan for the salvation of Man. He loved us that much. He can do whatever he wants. He creates everything and sustains it by his very Word. The sun comes up, the moon sets, the oceans hold their bound at the shore. Everything according to what he set in place and nothing ever changes. Until he has had enough. [Which is coming] Even if we don't understand it. It still is. Jesus had to be born without sin in order for his plan to come to fruition. Satan did not think it could be done. he too, knew what the plan was and hoped the humanity side of Jesus would cave in. Jesus was born of a woman, so he too had free-will, but chose not to sin. He knew what the purpose was for his life and what the overall impact was on humanity. He pleaded with God to pass the cup to another, knowing what was in store for him. Sweated blood. Can you imagine? I can not. I can not give you specific scriptures but I can tell you the Book of Hebrews qualifies Jesus for who and why and what he is. Mary's life was not easy, especially after she conceived. Joseph's too. They were on the run constantly and had no peace. If I faced the same situation, I would like to think I would be as good and courageous. I can't say that would be so. Honest and somewhat shameful that comes from my lips to your ears. When all is said and done and we are all in the grave, only then will we all really know how wonderful and magnificent Jesus Christ is, and was for all of us. I choose to celebrate him while I still have breath in this old broken body of mine. While I could never explain to another how great he is and all the why fors, I can rest in knowing that I know that I know. He knows that I know. That is all that really matters. Period.

Mary was a mortal woman, just as any of the rest, though she was given as "special gift" as one person already answered.
Your "Answer" is in Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the FORM of God, did not consider it robbery to be EQUAL with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

So the true question to be asked is: what did Christ REALLY sacrifice when He emptied Himself into human flesh and then presented Himself as a sacrifice for OUR sins upon that cross?

simple common sence would tell you that it just ain't so, Mary was the Mother of Jesus, God created Mary and everything else. God made Mary pregnant to have Jesus. some folks always try to stir up the poop pot. if you do not like Jesus just move on! go worship a rock or a bird!

Mary is NOT the mother of God. Where in scripture does Jesus call Mary "mother"? He calls her "woman". I believe Jesus knew this dogmatic idol worship was going to happen. I, too, have Catholic friends. They do NOT pray to Mary. We accept that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. Where in scripture does the Bible call her "Mother of God"? If the Bible does not refer to Mary with such terminology, why should we?
I do NOT read anywhere in my Bible anybody saying "before Abraham was, there was Mary"
Yet, there is no denying she was Jesus earthly mother. I guess maybe it isn't necessary for salvation to understand this; I certainly don't. But I DO accept what the Bible says.

Mary was a virgin (prophesied) to have the Messiah. No place in the bible is she called the "mother" of God.Many place Prophesy Jesus would be God in the flesh (Isaiah 9:6 example).Mary didn't stay a virgin (she had children).

In the bible, Luke 1: 35 it says that God sent the Holy spirit upon Mary, and the power of the Most High would overshadow her, she would give birth to Jesus. And in Matthew 1:18, it says she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. God created Mary with a purpose...Like all of us she had a purpose. God placed the baby inside her, and she gave birth to Him. We can do that now...place a baby in a different woman's body.God just did it w/out technology...Cause He could. He made Everything!

It is theoretically speaking. Mary is the mother of Jesus yes. But we are all children of God. Some people believe that Mother Mary has something special about her..a gift if you will...which is why God has chose her over anyone else he could have chosen to be the mother of a man that would come to change the world.

First, you should recognize that Jesus is God. The first chapter of John reads:

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God;
Joh 1:3 all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him.
Joh 1:8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light.
Joh 1:9 The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came to his own home, and his own people received him not.
Joh 1:12 But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God;
Joh 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.

NOTE: "...AND THE WORD WAS GOD......AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US...."

It was the Will of Almighty God that His Son take on flesh and sacrifice such flesh on the cross as the perfect offering for the sins of man.

Now, who provided the flesh?
