All through your old testament, god tells his people to kill other people for land.
Such as Moses, and Joshua.
You Christians repeat ten times a day that your lord god is the same yesterday today and tomorrow.
Ummm, THEN WHY, OH WHY DOES YOUR GOD NOT TELL YOU TO KILL PEOPLE TODAY???
I once again prove you Christians do not follow your bible.
I demand you bow before my greatness.

You truly don't get it do you?
You see that is the way it was in the old testament. You are leaving out the new testament all together. The answer is Jesus. His sacrifice mad it so people could be forgiven of their sins. It is not our job to judge. God is the judge. In the old testament Moses and Joshua did not kill people for land. When God instructs the killing of people, it has nothing to do with land. If you want to express strong opinions about something, you should at least understand it first. I do not know where you are getting your information, but as a christian I am saddened that you would put me in the group with those who gave you this misinformation. You aren't quoting any Christians I know. A better question is, If you truly do not believe in God then why go through all this trouble? You have proved nothing, apart from ignorance. Why do you feel the need to attack us? Does it bother you that much? Surely you have something better to do with your time. Then again maybe not. The fact that you feel the need to attack us this way only secures in me even more that I am on the right path. You see the fact is, If the bible were actually wrong, you wouldn't have posted this. Don't worry though. I forgive you. The rest is between you and God.

Let me tell you why this is. Remember you said that He says this in Old Testament ? Well, guess what ? - We're in the New Testament now, buddy ! The old law has changed ever since Jesus Christ's resurrection ! We don't go by the Old Testament Law anymore ! And like you said, we are Christians, so Christians do not follow the Jewish Law, which used to be God's Law. But once Jesus came, that's when it all got switched over to Christianity. And once that change was made, he made everything better, and gave people a chance to be forgiven through Jesus Christ. He loves us and wants to spare our lives so that we can change.

.... Oh, and one more thing.... it'll be a cold day in Hades before a bow down to you ! Remember, every knee shall bow down and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

maybe it's because god didn't ever tell people to kill nonbelievers.

the bible says it happened because the people who wrote the bible said that god did that.

they were a more simple society, and needed reasons for things to happen, look at the old roman and greek myths. it's the same thing. (real bible thumpers won't admit it)

you know how they always say that the victors get to write history, it's the same way, since the christians ended up with the control and the cash, they get to decide what is a myth and what is the real word of god.

a prime example, i got from a bishop, is that in the biblical times, god protected the jewish people, where was he in the 1940's when hitler killed six million, it wasn't because he stopped caring, he probably never did specifically protect one group over the other. the winners got to write it up, and they said that god was on their side, and that's why they won.
(like the japanese in wwII. just didn't work out like they thought it would.).

the god of the bible is an all forgiving, all loving being, so why would he ever want to have any one killed?

but then, i don't buy into the whole hell thing, if god is all loving and all forgiving, then no one would ever go to hell.
and if hell doesn't exist, well you know that opposites are required for the other to exist, so i guess heaven doesn't exist either!

Christianity did no longer continuously tutor this. the 1st Century Christians have been till now each and every thing, switched over Jews. Jews do no longer have confidence in a detrimental, burning hell. They believed in a million. Sheol, 2. Hades, 3. Gehenna and four. Tartarus (in basic terms for fallen angels). So, for the 1st a hundred years, no theory of an afterlife till the resurrection that became into promised to all. It became into in basic terms while Apostasy sat in that the completed damnation ingredient got here approximately. The very be conscious "Hel(l)" did no longer exist till six hundred-650 years AFTER the Bible became into finished. It became into in basic terms around the 300 and sixty 5 days a million,3 hundred A.D. that the above 4 words have been taken from the Bible and replaced with the Hell of damnation. of direction, that's the almost precise commence of the Spanish Inquisition, which might final centuries. Christianity has ALLOT to respond to for.

God does not change. Humans change, thus changing our relationship with Him. We had gotten so far away from God that only through the new covenant, through Jesus Christ, that we can regain that relationship.

God told the Israelites to destroy other nations because they had disobeyed him. It is not that they were unbelievers, but that they were wicked and did not repent (Deut. 9:4-5). He used the Israelites to exact his judgment on sinners. When the Israelites sinned, did God not send a plague upon them (Exodus 32:35)? When they rebelled, did he not have them swollowed by the earth (Numbers 16:30-35)? If Christians sin, will they not be judged? Everyone who has done anything wrong will be judged by God. But it is through the forgiveness of Jesus Christ that we are saved from eternal torture of separation from God.

Christians try to follow the bible as best as we can. The New Testament says that Jesus is the new covenant. Instead of killing them, we are supposed to help them, spiritually (Gal. 6:1-2)

You may also want to check out Galations 6:3-4: "If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else..."

God didn't say anything.

The Bible was written its true, BUT it was written by men.

If God had written it, it would be a magical thing that could never be destroyed and would exist somewhere.

The STORIES in the bible were also written at different times.

There's more than 1 religion, some are similar.
Which is right?

You obviously have no respect for your fellow humans as you are filled with derision.
You BELIEVE you are correct in your thinking, in other words you have faith in your reasoning.
Its exactly the same as christians but from the other side.

I suggest YOU bow but in humility.

By the way, remember those certain commandments?
One of those reads - Thou Shalt Not Kill!

The taking of life is a sin no matter what the circumstances.
I bet the Knights on the Crusades were shocked to find themselves consigned to Hell when they died

silly silly boy/girl ?! the old testament and the new testament are 2 completely different generations. If you notice Jesus didnt show up until the New testament. In the old testament there was no redemption for sins, and the gospel of Jesus hadnt been preached yet. The best they could do was offere a animal sacrifice for their sins. But when Jesus came on the scene it was to tell the people that they no longer had to sacrifice animals for their sins, because he came to be the ultimate sacrifice. it was to tell them that all vengance would be his. God doesnt want people killing others like you for example, because for you there is still hope - for them there was no hope, they had their own religion and the holyspirit had not yet walked the earth - it was either you served God or you died. that is why the ten commandments came about to instruct the people on how to live. do not renounce God/The holyghost it is and unforgiveable sin. Jesus loves you, and you can still be saved. ♥

Read the whole story. God dose not tell people in the old testament to kill willy nilly. The people God told Mosses to kill, and the people God told Joshua to kill were in fact people who had taken over the land which had belonged to the decendants of Abraham. And like in the begining of the bible God has always been in favour of people staying in their own land and not changing the borders. According to the jewish scriptures God told Adam to KEEP the garden. this is a pretty good translation, as keep means defend and that may well lead to death. So God is in favour of killing in defence of your land but not in favour of killing to satisfy your own greed.

Simply because the need for God 's people to be preserved to enable the identification and the coming of the Redeemer has now passed.

That such measures were necessary and carried out means that the Redeemer came and you now have the opportunity for salvation.

Otherwise your opportunity for salvation would have been in jeopardy.

It is simple enough to answer such questions but are you able to understand?

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

A few verses to consider : ( NIV)
Luke 19:27
But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me."

Matthew 10:34
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Luke 12:49-52
"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed! 51Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.

From these verses it would seem that Jesus wants war on this earth . Unbelievers are to live in divided ( feuding ) families and that anyone who does not accept Jesus as the saviour ought to be sent to the gas chambers .

Am I missing something – A brain Perhaps ?
