I just saw a responce to a question saying that its proven in labs thats homsexuality is a choice ,will it isn't they may believe that people become that way but alot of people know that its not simply a choice u just don't walk up one day and say for now on I'm going to be gay. For Any one who believes that its a choice it suggestes that u can wake up one day and just be gay .Think about it, would a man marry another man if there wasn't reall feelings involed and would a women marry a women if there wasn't reall feelings invold the answer is no witch suggest that the feelings come from deep with in just like it does for straight people.U just can't decied one day hey I'm a women and I'm going to have emotional feelings for women cause I'm sick of men hurting me. It don't work like that although it seems like some women turn that way but i don't know. So what do u all think?

Feelings may not be a blatant choice. But they are certainly affected by experience. I know black women who get hurt by black men and decide,,gradually, they will deal with white men,, in spite of racism against biracial couples. So just because something isnt a popular choice, doesnt make it impossible to still be someones choice. It just means the benefit outweighs the risks for that person.

I think it is choice. U R talking about "feelings" for the same sex, that is called "confusion" but to join in the sex act is a choice. If it is not a choice, it is called, "rape" call 911.
I realize from this website that if a group of people throw out God, and believe a lie, then there is no solid foundation of logic to educate them from. Simply said: Creation (i.e. the universe) had to have someone put in the first energy. (can you say GOD) And secondly: life demands a life giver (life can't come from soup or a rock or a bolt of lighting, Can U say God again.)
And since there is a God who made us male and female and He made it natural to be drawn towards the opposite sex then to do other wise is called a CHOICE.

Exactly! I cant believe straight people (or brainwashed religious messed up "ex-gays") can tell lesbians and gays that its a choice. Honestly, why would a straight person choose to be gay when they already feel things for the opposite sex? So they can be discriminated against for their whole lives, and never be allowed to love properly?
And AS IF its been proven in a lab that its a choice. Anyone who's gay or lesbian knows its not.
You can choose to be abstinent or force yourself to act straight and be miserable but thats no way to live... you gotta follow your heart and let your love out YEAH! Stupid ignorant people take that!!!

Unfortunately homophobes are too ignorant to understand such things as scientific results that repeatedly show that homosexuality is not a choice. And they are also ignorant enough to think that being gay is all about sex and has nothing to do with love.

I think it can be both, but I'm not a lesbian - so I don't really know. I have gay family members and friends and I think for them it was all - it was innate. But I also know some women who have just had it with men's BS and really do switch teams for that very reason and have been perfectly happy...but as I said, what do I know, I'm not a lesbian....

I think you should let the gay people be gay because they are gay so you can't change the gay in the gay people. You are gay yourself if you think gay gays can't be gay. The gay homosexual community has been very supportive to gays in the past few years. I mean really look at the gay gay guy that lives in the gayborhood across the street from my house. Maybe a bigger question is: Is it weird that I am straight and I live on the gayborhood?

It's obviously not a choice. There was a study that showed that different parts of the brain responded when they saw an attractive person of the other gender, but the homosexuals brains only responded when it was someone of the same gender. People also have homosexuality in their families, so its obviously genetic.

I think this is just another example that you cannot believe everything you read in responces. Some folks just don't know what they are talking about.
