The entire vast universe. Billion of galaxies, billions of stars in each galaxy. Millions upon millions of planets. A vast number of species on our own planet. Billions of years of evolution....

All for the benefit of a species that is less than 200,000 years old? Really? What is the point of quasars? Black holes? Cosmic events that are completely irrelevant to our solar system? It the other 99.999999999% of the universe just a sideshow?

Do humans just have a huge collective ego.

Dec 25 is Christmas Day. July 4 is Independance Day.
What should we call 9/11? Should we call it WTC day?
Or perhaps WTF day?
Get patriotic, get evil, feel free to vent.

I think it is. Yes. America, the biggest economic power on earth. But really, some americans are making their dreams elsewhere on this earth. It has become a dream to make it in life, be it anywhere not just in America. It's everyone's dream to make it in life, not just in another country, but in their own country. What i'm trying to say is, just so that some of you understand. The American Dream is so yesterday. The UK is good, so are the Asian countries, like Singapore. Australia is good too. With hopes and dreams people go to countries to make it big. I'm just asking, if you think The American Dream is passe?

Its not the kind of collection that I would have liked to have started, but I have so many people hand me religious flyiers at work, I decided it would be a waste to keep throwing them out.

One of my favorites got ruined by a coffee spill "The Escape Plan" is a comic book format story of a young man who tries to commit suicide (because of the environment) and is saved by a christian who tells him, "It's okay that the whole world is going to crap, cause were all going to heaven."

There is a church by my house...I think its a baptist church.

Anyhoo...there is a sign outside of the church that changes every couple of weeks. This week it reads "God planted us a garden, it is our job to keep it weeded"

Isnt that a little Nazi-esque...or am I just reading it all wrong?

I've read many questions On Yahoo Answers about the Second Coming. Such as: What's Jesus doing now? Watching telly and eating biscuits?

I am reminded of the film called: The Crazies.
The population are infected with a disease that makes them go crazy - military rule is imposed. A professor finds a vaccine... but before he can deliver it, he is knocked to the ground by the crazies- his precious test-tube crushed.

Nowadays everyone is cynical. Perhaps rightly so. We have a lot to be cynical about.

But what if the long awaited message... of tremendous importance... exists - it is there - but isn't getting through - the voices, always negative, drown out the word...

I respect Evangelists who serve God through His creations. This Chennai based televangelist claimed in a TV appearance that in 1981 Jesus appeared before him - Jesus meets con evangelists only when they are alone – and asked him to spread His message all over the world and after that for over 26 years he took to beggary and claims that he is still a beggar in the Service of Jesus Christ. Now he says that his present debts amount to over 2 million in Indian currency. I take beggary as respectable if it is for a cause laid down by the society. He has over billions in assets including blade educational institutions and earns millions every month through healing frauds. If his criteria are taken on bank loans then all the billionaires all over the world are beggars, as they owe billions to the Banks while their solid assets are many times more like this Indian Evangelist. Cheats have many ways to dupe the innocents and the unwary and devotion to God is one avenue some prostitute with.

It hurts my heart to watch too much of what happened, especially the parts which are more documentary in nature. I know it is a definitive movie in Jewish culture, but it is too difficult to watch from start to finish. Same goes for other Holocaust movies in general.
