People think God is a bully, cruel, mean, because they are deceived by the devil.
2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

No, i think it has a lot to do with whatever experiences the person is going thru in their life. i say that because when a person is going thru a situation and they pray, and God doesn't answer on their time, they use the excuse, "God doesn't hear me, or,."I'm a bad person and God wont answer my prayers." I'm not pushing my religion on anybody but I am a christian and I know God answers ALL my prayers on HIS time, not mine. Then, there are those who DO pray and don't like the answer He gives them so instead of thanking God anyway, they become spiteful and decide to just give up praying anyway...
Be Blessed.

Ah, so many people disrespecting what they don't know anything about. It's easy to criticize anything, isn't it?
People love to cite the instances in the Bible where God harshly judged some city, or told someone to go to war, or caused a plague, CONVENIENTLY OMITTING the fact that the bad stuff was done TO THE BAD GUYS!
Obviously, some people have never faced hard times before, and can't see the benefit of somebody like God on their side. But hey, we wouldn't want Heaven to get too crowded, now, would we?

and I see your point....... I also know that a lot of Christians do say God is good, but he is also many, many other things..... I am not ashamed to say God has done the things people say he has, what would be the point ? I either trust Him or I do not....... I trust Him........ I may NOT understand all the whys or whats, but I do trust He knew and or knows what He has done or is doing..... even in my own life..... which , I might add, is FAR from perfect in any respect or purpose or way..... God is vengance, love, jealous, demands obediance, respect, all those things, and when He is tired or fed up with the neglect of human kind He does take revenge on them, and He will again...... I trust His judgment, even upon myself..... I would NOT call Gods actions evil, or not as we know evil, I would call them justified...... How long would you, as a good and kind and even patient leader, say of a country, put up with others abusing or neglecting or down right murdering others, just to appease their own ego or thirst for power ?? If you as one being had the power to stop Hitler, would you ?? Even it it meant killing all those who believed and followed him, thinking he was RIGHT, in its truest form or sense of the word ???? I am being serious here..... Would that make you *evil* to put a stop to it ???? go in peace...... God bless

Maybe some do, but I think the reason is because either they are ignorant of the Word of God or inside they are afraid to admit it because they will have to change.
We must remember what the Bible tells us about God's love:
1 John 4:8 "The one who does not love, does not know God, for God is love".
1 John 4:10 "This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God's love for us in that he sent his Son to be the way to take away our sins."
Romans 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
Also:
God's love is absolutely unconditional
God's love is perfect
God's love is eternal
God's love is personal
God's love is beyond our understanding
God's love is measureless and limitless
God's love has no favorites
God's love is a very generous love
It is so wonderful to know the love of God!

Some may claim that God is violent by his dealings with some people in the past when he put them to death.
They must think the almighty God Jehovah has no right to punishing someone for being deliberately disobedient to his commands.
Well . that is their mistaken point of view.
But without any doubt it is true , you cant clean your house , if you don't wipe away the filth first.
That is what Jehovah has done in the past . he has removed filthy ungodly people form the earth , and I am all for that. !!
The Bible also says that soon will come another time of judgment when again , all wicked people will be destroyed.
Yes all people that prove that they are really following Satan and his world will be destroyed.
At this near future time , Satan and his demons will also be taken out of action , unable to affect the righteous people that remain on the earth.
For information on how you can be part of this plz feel free to email me.

It's all right there in the Holy Bible, the various things that were done in it by the hand of God. Everything from drowning the planet to killing 42 children for making fun of someone's bald head.

people think that the christian god is a bully because he says you have to believe in only him and they think he is cruel because if you don't believe in him he will burn you for all eternity (and it says these things in the bible)
So is that reason enough for you!

I don't believe in god, but if the Christian god were to exist, the Bible states that that's exactly what he would be like.
Onegammyleg, sounds very much like Hitler. "Filthy" people?

They might. But in my experience they are constantly judging God by their own standards, like he is human like them.
It's okay though. God gets to answer them.
