Jesus ascended into heaven less than 2000 years ago. Having a mass, he could not travel at lightspeed, but could approach it. Therefore he must be no more than 2000 light years away.

Our galaxy is 100,000 light years across, so he is somewhere therein. Therefore heaven is within our galaxy, and God too?

Skull and bones is an old group, club, gang, fraternity, klan, organization, here in America.
It is a secretive group in which one of the things required of members to do is to "lie naked in a coffin and reveal all of their sexual encounters.
As crazy as it seems these men are within the small group that have shaped our country.
And still do till this day.

We live in a condo complex and our next door neighbors just have to listen to rave music from 11pm - 2am every night without headphones. It's loud and the bass cuts right through walls. At least twice a month, my husband and I have to kindly ask them to keep the volume down so we can get some sleep. They'd say ok and turn it down just a little, then the same thing happens a few days later. Clearly they don't jobs to go to in the morning! We have thought about calling the police, but really, what can the police do but issue a verbal warning? Should we contact our condo management office? We're getting tired of asking them to turn down the noise, and have talked with our other neighbors. They too agree that this is an issue, but since they're across the hall, the noise isn't too bad for them. We're considering leasing the condo and moving out, but it's just unfair how the rude & selfish get to do whatever they want and not be stopped or punished. What can you do?

I saw a show on tv that talked about a preacher who dismissed the idea that there is a "true" Hell but instead "Hell" is a state of mind. I was interested in learning more about this ideaology. And why do innocent people face "hell" everyday of their lives? Especially abused children, etc.

I am not just talking about Jehovah Witnesses knocking at your door I mean all kinds from Catholic to Evangilical. I am a Christian and yes if there is a discussion where my opinion is wanted I will give it but I NEVER force my religion on anyone. I am sure I will get comments from some that say the bible says go out and preach the word, I am not saying to not spread the word about God I am saying I do not believe on forcing my way of practicing my faith to others who have their own way.

I often see the words "ethics and morality" used almost as synonyms. SAT-in-a-Box, by Kaplan, says "ethical" means conforming to accepted standards. It says the synonyms are: honorable, moral. This is ambiguous and can be exploited.

What do you think about the following novel distinction? Ethics regards a wide range of relationships; Morality regards one's own emotional/spiritual health; they are different, but very interdependent. Ethics is like the relationship of the planets to each other and the sun, whereas Morality is equivalent to each planet revolving on its own axis. A popular character education expert said, “Sometimes ‘ethical’ is used as a synonym for ‘moral,’ as in, ‘He is a very ethical (moral) person.’ For some people, ‘moral’ has religious connotations that "ethical" does not. I've read so many terrible comments about nursing homes....are there no government checks on these facilities? I work in one here in Australia, and we are constantly under scrutiny. No home would be able to get away with the sort of thing I've read on this site. I can understand not wanting to end up in one.... loss of independence, lack of choices, etc, but the standards here are very strict and people are provided with good quality care. Any comments would be enlightening.
