I am not asking whether christianity has "stolen" anything from other religions.

Great question.

Christianity is the only monotheism (itself a small subsect of religions) that divides its single god into three components. In fact, the whole father, son, holy spirit arrangement is pretty unique.

I believe original sin is unique to Christianity. The Garden of Eden story is present in Judaism and Islam, but the sins of Adam and Eve are not understood to be passed down through humanity like it is in Christianity.

I can't think of another religion that suggests all non-believers automatically get punished for eternity.

To be honest with you, I do not know enough about all the beliefs. Giving respect to the many beliefs that have existed through out the ages that may have been lost along with the civilization.

But to answer this question as some one that embraces the Christian Faith, God created the earth and mankind. I would feel then that since the beginning of time man has believed in a deity because it is his "lost" nature to do so. Therefore, most beliefs would derive from the basis of what is known as Christianity.

Yes the crucifixtion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only God that has risen and is alive.....

Christians worship a living God...

LOL - too those who speak of Egyptian mythology, Osirsis, who was Pharoh of Eygypt and hacked into 14 pieces by his brother. His body parts being scattered about the Earth his wife Isis, gathering together these parts and performing some spell, resurrected him. He is now the God of the Underworld....14 Pieces? Osirsis was often depicted as a mummy.

He is usually depicted as a green-skinned pharaoh wearing the Atef crown, a form of the white crown of upper Egypt with a plume of feathers to either side. Typically he is also depicted holding the crook and flail which signify divine authority in Egyptian kings, but which were originally unique to Osiris and his own origin-gods (see below), and his feet and lower body are wrapped, as though already partly mummified. The information we have on the myths of Osiris is derived from allusions contained in the pyramid texts, and, much later, in narrative style from the writings of Plutarch[4] and Diodorus Siculus.[5]

The difference between the two, this God was a creation of mythology. Jesus was actually a person that walked the Earth, what seperates the Christians from the Non-Believer is that we believe he was the Messiah.

Yes. There is no other faith on earth as Christianity. None. the above answers are so proud of their stupidity and ignorance. What is the ONLY thing that the Christian God requires of his people? There is only one. Everything else falls into the details of the religion. Only one thing and that is???? To Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, and being. What other God offers so much, everything in fact, for so little in return. The rest? baptisms, missions, tithes, loving your neighbor as your self, all of these are natural results of the one and only requirement, to love him.

Well, genocide is not one of them. The Jews did that long before Christianity came along.

Crucifixion and resurrection are not unique to Xtianity. That idea was stolen from Horus, and/or Krishna.

The Trinity is not, either. Hindus believe that all the "gods" are aspects of the one, Brahma. Trinity is a sidestepped form of polytheism, that's all.

No... it's all cobbled together from other, older religions. The whole first section of their religious text was stolen from the Jews!
Jesus is NOT the first person to be "resurrected" (according to the myths). Egyptians have a similar myth.

No, it is copied from earlier beliefs. Anyone who says something in it is unique is ignorant of the history of religions. I have studied many of the major ones, and I see nothing unique in any of them.

All other religions focus on the individual doing things to improve or perfect themselves; do this, don't do that.

Christianity is based upon God in you performing what needs to be done, and our salvation being based in what Christ did, and not on anything we can do.

Vicarious atonement by a divine being, the eucharist/real presence, the words of John that "God is love." Those do not have a direct analogue in any other religion.
