With 2008 not all that far away, I wondered who made 2007 New Year's resolutions and how you're doing. I resolved in 2005 not to make resolutions because I just end up disappointing myself. So I don't make resolutions, I just make changes every now and then. You?

Unless it's someone like the what should I do retard who is simply seeking attention, how will reporting a question benefit you? Is this what goes through your minds: "This question offends me. I will teach them a lesson by reporting it, so they will get a violation notice." Do you honestly think this will work? I see Christians here all the time complaining about how rude the athiests are. NO WONDER you are being insulted, patronized, ridiculed, etc. You are deleting legitimate questions. People get pissed off when you do that and will respond in anger. If you, personally, are not reporting questions, there's no need to say "It's not me." That's about as useless as the Muslim who says "I don't believe in suicide bombing." Good for you, but it does nothing to help the problem. Try steping out of defense mode and instead doing something to police your own group of like-minded people. Tell your peers not to rob you of the opportunity to read someone's question.

I do, it helps children learn and understand different cultures. The class that I was subsituting for yesterday had every race, and children from many different countries. I think it's also interesting to have a group of children from all over the world. What does everyone else think?

God:
We have no proof of God outside of the word of an authority figure (the Bible), yet Christians accept that God exists.

Okay. But...

We had no proof of Iraqi WMDs outside of the word of an authority figure (GWB), and Christians accept that they existed.

If atheists were in charge, do you think we would still be at war in Iraq?

Ok, so in the book "The Bible" it states that Adam and Eve were the first "Man". If they were, lets say, White, how did we get diffrent races, such as African Americans, asians, hispanics, ect?

I understand they had 2 sons, Able and Cain. And Cain had Enoch. Enoch had Irad and so on......

So, how did the races come about?

As a Roman Catholic I am sincerely wondering how those who follow "the Bible alone" are certain that they are interpreting the Bible correctly.

Hypothetical - What if you and another Christian disagree as to what a bible verse means - how can you decide who is right? And if you can't decide, then who is the final arbitor or authority that can step in and settle the doctrinal question?

I guess I'm asking.....don't you think Christ meant for us to be able to know INFALLIBLY what the Bible teaches instead of having people just start a new denomination (Baptist, Methodist, etc) everytime there was a disagreement that couldn't be settled?

Jesus Christ prayed to His Father "that they may all be one." And the Bible tells us "there shall be one fold and one Shepherd."

Here is some more research on the Book of Exekiel and the problems with Russia and Iran, please let me know your thoughts on this>
The Jewish historian Josephus said, "Magog founded the Magogians, called Scythians by the Greeks. Scythians were a nomadic tribe who inhabited the ancient territory from Central Asia across the southern part of ancient Russia." Today this area is inhabited by the former Soviet Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and possibly northern parts of Afghanistan
Ezekiel 38 is not the same as the war that will come at the end of the tribulation when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist and establish his millennial kingdom.
Verse 22 of Ezekiel tells us that there will be plagues, torrents of rain, hailstones, and burning sulfur. Just as God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, he will destroy these invading forces. Once again, God will make it known to all the nations that He is the Lord.
Thoughts?

I know lots of Christians and some are my colleagues, I showed them my researches and findings about Christianity and now they know the other side of the story and realized that there were many flaws and Christianity is not really what they thought it is. I did this only to let them see the whole picture since I considered them as friends.

Christians today mainly associate nudity with sex. But some Christians are also naturists. I'm sure David and Jonathan may have their own indulgences in skinny dipping but in a friendly way, not a sexual way. Why do so many Christians today frown upon social nudity when Christians in the 1st/2nd centuries AD were baptised naked sometimes?

"s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.

The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f".

Today, many Christians have been attracted by emotional music and services of Pentecostal/Charismatic churches. Also, in these churches there are people who speak in tongues, cry emotionally or have demons cast out from them.
Does the Bible sanction this behaviour? What does the Bible have to say about all this and how can Christians today avoid falling into the error of trusting their experiences and feelings?

Ok, the queen is rich, but not filthy rich, so why are people making it out as if she is sooo extraordinarily rich when in reality she is not. She isn't even the richest woman in britain and doesn't even make it in the top ten richest royals in the world.
Most of the assets she has don't belong to her. Buckingham palace, the crown jewels and some of the various castles aren't even hers, they belong to the state. If you take a look at the world billionaires or the worlds richest people, she is waaay down the list. She may be royal, but its not the same as being filthy rich so why do people make it out as if she is so rich.

You know the kind, they will be your friend in as much as you connect them to other people or groups that they want to be part of who then act snobby once they've made their connections. People who name drop, brag about a new purchase, talk about people...that sort of stuff.

What do you do to deal with this type of person?

I was baptised a Christian weeks ago. I believe in God, the atonement for sins by the Crucifixion, that God is restoring all things, that we should be shining lights in a dark world, etc.
However, I also believe that we should seek Enlightenment and self-awareness of our God-given potential as human beings. God has given each person individual talents, abilities and gifts that need to be realised.
I believe that a person's goal in life is to seek harmony and love with God and other people.
I believe that faith and reason go well together and that we should question everything, even what our teachers or religious authorities might say.
I believe that we should not force Christianity on people of other religions, but engage them in open dialogue and share with them the reasons why we live and believe the way we do.

The question is, what kind of beliefs do u classify me as having? Is there a name to summarise it - like Christian rationalist or something?

John 5: impotent man healed, but
when later found whoring with law,
is told: "go and sin(law) no more",
lest your latter end be "worse"-end

Revelation: perhaps a "worse" case scenario,
if it has "seven (other) spirits" mentioned 4 times.

IMPure religions: arrive defiled, and get worse-end
Pure religion: arrives undefiled, remains unspotted

Saved + destroyed after by grace + law: Jude 5
Saved(only) by grace(only): Revelation 22: 21
