I know lots of Christians and some are my colleagues, I showed them my researches and findings about Christianity and now they know the other side of the story and realized that there were many flaws and Christianity is not really what they thought it is. I did this only to let them see the whole picture since I considered them as friends.

Let me guess, you probably showed them lots of points in the Old Testament?

To show someone facts (research and findings) about Christianity (ie history, etc) does not prove anything.
There has been a violent and corrupt history surrounding Chrisitanity, there is no doubt about that.
Catholics were somewhat the main culprits of these atrocities. Christianity was used as a method of control, wealth. and power.
I'm assuming this is the research that you speak of since you didn't specify. (If you could clarify, that would be great)

However, does one go around and choose their religion based on facts and statistics. Since when does faith come in a brochure? Is it a campaign/debate....let's say the Atheist vs. Christian?
I would say that these "Chrisitans" that you (or anyone) have "convinced" weren't true Christians. There are a lot of people who live a lie. They say they are >insert a religion here< so that they feel a part of something.

A better approach, try presenting your information to a preacher, a theology student, a religious professor, an anonymous person leaving church on a Sunday....just to get an idea of what you're presenting and how what they have to say about it.

To me, God's word (as in the Bible) is NOT flawed.
However, I feel that there is too much corruption and "holier than thou" attitudes amongst the Christian faith.
And yes, there is a very distinct difference between the Bible and Christianity. If that sounds odd to you, do more research and you'll see why.

Cheers.

I've talked to Christians about religion, and I've noticed that I can be very influential, even though I never feel like I am at the time. But I don't actively try to "convert" or even convince people. I'd rather let them do their own research and reach their own conclusions. I'll criticize them for NOT doing the research, though, and for blindly believing things they've been told on zero evidence.

What's the other side, atheism? So let me get this straight. If you're right, we'll all just be dead. If you're wrong, you've played a role in helping your colleagues get to Hell. With friends like you, who needs enemas.

No offense with the 'enema' statement. But I would re-consider what I'm doing if I were you.

Once written in the book of life, always there though
so, although you may have detoured their faith, they'll probably be back, usually do... Christian faith is not flawed.
You just have to have a whole lot of time to research, most don't including myself. One thing for sure though is that answered prayer, I will always remember, and I know with the Lord is a whole lot better than without, as I myself left it for a bit. I came back, I pray your friends do as well. Now I'm better than ever and more dedicated to his word and researching it than ever!

Nice name.....

And yet, it was only through the power of Jesus Christ that I am alive today to talk about it!

Humans ARE flawed. We DO sin. That is exaclty why we DO need Jesus, not why we should avoid Him!

Oh, by the way, when you do that - when you acknowledge your sin and call on Jesus to forgive you for those sins - that is called being "born again", and that is the basis for people being called Christian.

Where is the fallacy in THAT? Where is the flaw of acknowledging our sinfulness before God and asking His forgiveness based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ?

It seems to me that those who reject God's offer of salvation are proud and arrogant and have a "holier-than-thou" attitude because they think they're good enough without God! Now THAT attitude is flawed, in MY mind!

That's great. I think a lot of people just never consider that they can question their belief system. People understand that "other" religions seem ridiculous and could never possibly be true, but can't apply the same perspective to their own to see it in the same way.

I am glad you feel free to voice your understanding of the universe. I hope you are open to hearing other peoples' understanding as well.
