At YMCA clubs, in the 50's, men and boys swam around in the nude. The C stands for Christian. Go, figure. I was never aroused by the nude models in figure drawing class, but I really can't speak for the guys. C. :)!!

I am Christian and also a naturist. I practice home nudism, and I see no conflict at all, since I am not an exhibitionist.
Hmmm, well, there is the passage about Noah's sons exposing his nakedness, but that's more about respect than nudity. There's the passage where Adam and Eve got embarrassed about being naked after they ate the wrong fruit, but that wasn't about that being naked was their sin, but disobeying God.
To tell the truth, I don't really understand the repressive mentality of the puritanical evangelical fundamentalist uptight prudes who are so ashamed of bare skin, or anything remotely sexual either. God invented sex and my body, I see no reason to be ashamed of either one.
Anyway, the overwhelming majority of society doesn't agree with them.
It has long been the practice in the U.S. and other western countries for people of the same gender to change clothes in the same locker room, or shower together, or sleep in barracks together without being concerned that it is immoral in some strange way.
For centuries on this continent and others, in our own culture as well as in other cultures, people never wore clothes to go swimming with others of the same gender, and nobody gave it a second thought.
It is upsetting to me to hear that some tiny splinter minority is pressuring us to accept their mistaken ideas in the name of Christianity. Who does it help? Nobody. Who is harmed by casual same gender nakedness? Also nobody. They're just afraid someone somewhere will be turned on, and heavens, we can't allow that, it must be prevented at all costs.
It would be a shame if we allowed this new prudishness to change our healthy practice, and treat the human body as something to be afraid of.

society has evolved into a fairly prudish lot of people who are so afraid of being considewred politically incorrect, gay, sexual, or anythgin other than holier than thou that we have learned to hide our bodies lest we fall into evil.
and by the same token we have also evolved into weird society whereby we deem it perfectly okay to strip search anyone who tries fly on a plane, cross a border or even get busted for a minor offence. As long as it isn't us of course.
And your statement is correct where you say many people associate nudity with sex. However that is only true in the minds of those who are so sexually deprived they obserss over having sex with anyone who is naked. (well okay that may be an exaggeration but possibly close to the truth in principle).
Personally I believe the human body, despite all it's imperfections, is a pretty decent piece of work and it should not be hidden. Not to say we should all go naked all the time either since that would result in a lot of sunburned or frozen people depending on locale.
But to be seen naked or to see others naked is fine. It is not sinful, it is not contrary to the 10 commandments and it isn't mentioned in the teachings of Jesus. So feel free to disrobe with friends and others where the setting is conducive to allowing you the freedom to go forth naked. I do and it is fine.

When adam and eve sinned in the garden of Eden they immediately grew ashamed and covered themselves.
Also there is nothing exactly wrong with nudity but there is something wrong with lust. Its one of the 7 deadly sins and it usually can be caused by nudity.

The naked body by itself is not sinful. It is beautiful and marvelous. Scripture tells us "we are fearfully and wonderfully made."
But people have a sinful nature that makes them weak when it comes to sexuality. Looking upon a naked body quite often arouses sinful thoughts that could have been avoided had the person been wearing clothes....or if we had quickly turned away.
Nudists have the right idea that the body is good and beautiful, however they have unfounded faith in the purity of men's thoughts. We are all weak and therefore modesty is a necessity in society.

Adam and Eve were naked. That's the way God made them, but they screwed up, and DISOBEYED God. That is why their SIN HAD TO BE COVERED. God Himself made the first sacrifice, and made Adam a Eve animal skins to cover their nakedness.
We would have all been ok to be naked if they hadn't sinned. Get it? God Bless

The part where Ham saw Noah naked.
You keep trying to justify your homosexuality here, that's not going to happen.
So why do you constantly bring it to the conversation.
You keep asking about religion and trying to start your own, that too isn't going to happen.
You need a Savior not a priest.

well if you recall the story of Noah, when his sons found him naked and drunk, they looked away "so as not to see his naked sin"
now maybe they were looking away from his drunkenness, but it implies at least that looking upon ones father while he is naked is sinful.

The private areas are only to be seen by your spouse. the bible says that it is worng you see your parents nakedness. See Leviticus the 18th chapeter.
Seeing nakedness can arouse sexual desires causing temptation and sinful behavior.
