Jesus is Jewish. Jesus is also GOD. Jesus died for your sins on the cross, and rose again. If you believe this, you will be in heaven for eternity. If you don't believe it, and reject it to your dying breath, you will be in hell for eternity.

Jesus was a Jew, as were all of the Apostles (His immediate followers). It's interesting, after His death, burial, resurrection, the Apostles evangilized primarily the Jewish community. Paul (you'll find him first discussed in the book of Acts) was the preacher to the non-Jew...the Gentiles.

If I may, I'd like to invite you to read these 3 New Testament books in the following order:

The Gospel of John (4th book in the NT) - speaks directly to the diety of Jesus

Acts - the very next book and describes the birth of Christianity

Romans - the very next book and describes the plight of the Jewish community and the assurity of eternal life through the shed blood of Jesus.

In Christ,

Dennis

Read Matthew 1 in the Holy Bible. He is of Jewish decent, and the world as a whole do not except Him!

I am a Christian and I have proven my Savior over and over again! He is God's only begotten Son that was sent here to redeem mankind from Satan and sin. That is what's wrong with the world. We are born into sin and shaped in iniquity. We are wrong doers and do wrongers by nature. We lie, cheat, become jealous, covet (want what others have, etc.)

Who would not want a man (Jesus) who came down to help us and is now Alive in the heavens interceding (pleading before God) on our behalf. It is all a mystery but I tell you no lie. We all must die and leave this life and go to a next. Why not go for what is right? It don't lead you wrong or point you to devastation.

Yes, he was. Jesus had different ideas that led to Christianity. He was born Jewish, but did not believe in all the teachings of the Torah. What you are born as is different than what you choose to be.

He was Yeshua bar Joseph, son of a carpenter born Jewish and lived in Nazareth, in Israel.

Christ is a derivative of the Greek Christos or the Anointed one, so he was Jesus the Christ.

Many believe he is/was the Messiah or the Anointed One

Yes, and Middle Eastern. He had much darker skin than you think too. The same as Egyptians, 2000 years ago. Or else he would have stuck out like a sore thumb when he was hiding there from the Romans.
After all, historically, the Romans did have a presence there for quite some time.

Yes.

The Catholic Church affirms the Jewish heritage of both Jesus and Christianity, "To the Jews belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ.'

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 839 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.htm#839

With love in Christ.

Yes he was a Jew at the time of Crucifixion. Please sit and talk to a Christian person you trust.
And disregard some of the the previous answers they just seem like sad hurtful people.
He was the son of God born to save us from sin. He died and rose again from the dead.
Really, read a Bible then see what you feel.
