Lots of people in the trains, not much space for them all. Men are reading the newspaper, avoiding even looking at the other passengers. Women try to knit, but can't (presumably because there isn't enough elbow room).

It means that
- the train is so full of people
- the men are reading their evening papers so seriously that we can not see their faces because the papers are held in front of them
- the women, because the trains are so full, they find it difficult to knit.

It means the passenger on the train are packed like sardine and the ride is very uncomfortable.

Sori klo indo gw salah2
