I am not just talking about Jehovah Witnesses knocking at your door I mean all kinds from Catholic to Evangilical. I am a Christian and yes if there is a discussion where my opinion is wanted I will give it but I NEVER force my religion on anyone. I am sure I will get comments from some that say the bible says go out and preach the word, I am not saying to not spread the word about God I am saying I do not believe on forcing my way of practicing my faith to others who have their own way.

Yes. It bothers me greatly because the majority of today's religions stem from the same geological background and refer to the same God. How can one religion be better than any other when they all worship the same supreme being?? Also, God gave us free will - so why do humans feel that it is their right to take that away and force their beliefs on others ... The Bible says "Go out into the world and share the good news" not --- "Go out into the world and shove your beliefs down others throats"

One of my favorite text concerning preaching is found at

Job 33:5 If you are able, make reply to me,
Array [words] before me; do take your station.

6 Look! I am to the [true] God just what you are;
From the clay I was shaped, I too.

7 Look! No frightfulness in me will terrify you,
And no pressure by me will be heavy upon you

==

Does this mean I believe all worship is acceptable?

No,

All worship should be based on the bible, the whole bible and not a text taken out of context.

No it doesn't. I don't sweat stuff like that as so many others do. People are too sensitive these days.
I'll tell you straight up: I believe the Catholic Church is the true Church of Christ. Now, does that bother you? It shouldn't. Just take it or leave it - don't foam at the mouth over it. It is what I believe, and I have a right to say it just as you have a right to ignore it.
I'm curious how people make the leap from me saying my Church is the right Church - to - I'm forcing my religion on you. That just bugs the crap out of me. It is a tactic used to silence people. By that way of thinking, CBS News is forcing the democrat party on me, and my public school forced evolution on me.

Yes. I get very annoyed when someone selfishly tells me their way is the only way. I don't have any problem when people preach love. The problem occurs when people start preaching fear. Fear is used by many mass religions as a manipulating tool to convert people. This preaching of fear is the very thing that has scared myself and many others away from these religions. Telling people "if you don't accept christ, you will suffer eternal damnation" is a MAJOR turn off.

It doesn't bother me because I know that Jesus Christ is the Way The Truth and The Life. I can't wait tell the Last Day, when the Lord Jesus comes back for his faithful. I will scream it from the roof tops that the Lord God is the King......for he is the only one I am here to impress. If it pleases the Lord God it pleases me. I won't cram the Truth down the throat of a non believer, you can only love them. But I will not compromise the Truth to spare their feelings either. For it is written, "if you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my father".

ALL religions say that theirs is the only one to believe in. The only right one.
I had a lady from a local Presbyterian church knock on my door a few Saturday's ago at 8am. She wanted to know if she could 'offer to pray with me during these difficult times.' I said that would be nice as long she allowed me to read the first 20 pages of Darwin's Origin of Species to her in return.
She of course refused and got a little ticked about it. I do not know why. One good turn deserves another, right?

Thank you for being a Christian who does not shove their beliefs down my throat. You're one of the good ones.

It bothers me if they start telling me I have to believe what they do or I'll go to hell. Otherwise people can believe whatever they want. And to the one who said that ALL religions think they are the only true religion...this is patently untrue. I'm a pagan and I know it's the right path for me, but I do not think it's the right path for everyone. Not everyone can handle independent thought. Some people have to be told what to think.

yes because in Islam it is compulsion to force anyone to believe in any religion.
" There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghoot and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Know er" ( Taghoot means false gods, deities)

Yeah it bothers me. and for them to criticize my religion. I'm Catholic but I think personally if you are not or have never been a catholic and don't truly know my religion then I suggest you shut the "f" up. Why would I want to listen to you?... I agree that spreading the word and forcing their religions on us is completely different.

Yes, the minute this thought leaves the lips a grave error in judgement has been committed. I grew up with parents that thought their fundamental christian religious sect was the right and only one. No one else was eligible for heaven.

It's nauseating to me and vain on anyone's part to think in these 'exclusive' terms.
