Does God hate or love Satan since he is a created being, and God is love? Also, is it spiritually okay to hate Satan or does God frown on this particular hate crime?

What's important here is not that you hate or not hate satan....but that you DON'T follow Satan or his rules, temptations...his path is wrong..

More than hating Satan,HATE the lies and deception. He is the Father of all lies, and has come into the world to kill, steal, and destroy. He will not stop at anything to deceive and keep anyone from coming to the knowledge of the truth. I have to say this to the person who spoke against President Bush- God put Bush up as President, and I believe that what Bush does is a part of God's plan.

Yes, I believe we can hate Satan. God is not love, it is a quality of His being but it is not the only quality. God is a God of love but He is also a God of wrath, Who hates: Rom 9:13 "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau I have hated." Some may say, 'well that's no fair'...God can do what He wants, and He knows the heart. God did not choose that Esau have a heart that cannot be loved by Him, Esau chose to be one who would treat the birthright blessing of God to be disrespected and as though it meant nothing. How can we love anyone who hates God? If we have His Spirit in us then we can do no other than hate Satan. David, who was closest to God's own heart said, Psa 139:21 "O Jehovah, do I not hate those who hate You? And am I not grieved with those who rise up against You?"
But we are not to hate in a way that the hate takes control of us and masters us. Hatred is a tool that Satan can use in order to destroy us, like yeast it multiplies and spreads into other areas of our lives. If we act in hatred and harm others then we are no better than Satan, but he has become the master of us and has worked his will out through us. Jesus, said when speaking to the Pharisees in John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do." Do a study on hate and heart...there is alot of interesting finds. God knows the nature of man and how the fallen mind and heart works. I know from my own experience that if you let hate rule in your heart, even against Satan then it will do more harm to your own soul than to anybody else. Just find comfort in the thought that God is in control and He has a plan for Satan and his bunch. If you don't have study tools you can download excellent Bibles and the tools to study. Here are a couple I use: www.e-sword.net and www.onlinebible.net I prefer e-sword because there are more add ons and commentaries than the online bible but the online bible has a system of cross referencing that the e-sword doesnt have...I use them both. Here is an example of the meaning of the words 'hate', using the tools in the e-sword Bible, both O.T. Hebrew 'sane' and the N.T. Greek 'miseo'.

sane
saw-nay'
A primitive root; to hate (personally): - enemy, foe, (be) hate (-ful, -r), odious, X utterly.

miseō
mis-eh'-o
From a primary word misos (hatred); to detest (especially to persecute); by extension to love less: - hate (-ful).

I think it is okay to hate satan! I do not like saying hate, but when the truth be told, I fear I hate many types of people that I wouldn't admit to before. Satan, child abusers, rapists, murderers..I can hate them, but yet I still pray for them. Was interesting though when I entered in 'pray for satan?' last month in the 'search for questions', the numerous answers I found, I no longer pray for satan. And in Eccles.3:8 it says "A time to love and a time to hate..."and in Ps.97:10 "Ye that love the Lord, hate evil.." But I cannot recall the Lord saying He hates satan, but hates evil, so would they not be the same?

Hating Satan is not a hate crime son. You should never like/love Satan. No God does not love Satan. And God does not have to because Satan is not his Child. Satan is a fallen angel. And none of the angels inherit salvation. None of them were created to be in the likeness ad=nd image of God. They generally serve whatever purpose God has planned for them. But you? Oh no...you are precious to God...you are the apple of His eye. So please don't be confused. Satan is your enemy, he seeks about as if he was a lion, looking for people to devour. He only comes but to kill steal and destroy. Satan is not your brother. Only people you are not supposed to hate...and God. But You can hate Satan.
Because the bible says "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. And when determining what the "fear of the Lord actually is...?" The Bible says..."To fear the Lord is to hate evil."
It is the begging of wisdom to hate evil. Let's put that in lamens terms and say that's the wisest thing in the world you can do. Hate evil. Hate evil and cling to good.
With wisdom comes discernment. Just know that the Lord is encouraging you to hate evil because evil will kill you. Don't be deceived. Satan is evil.

Go in Peace please.
Seek and find for yourself. So you may know for yourself.
God Loves you
Be blessed.

since it's human nature to hate, and the christian religion professes to be all about love, leaders in that cult decided that there still must be an outlet of hate. hence the ultimate scapegoat: Satan. Satan is a fabrication of christian leaders using physical aspects of certain pagan deities (pan, etc) and also from semitic people (the long nose, etc) to engender fear and thus controll of their congregations. The term "satan" or "shaitan" was used as a reference to a priestly office in ancient judaism that acted as a kind of a loyal opposition. Much like the Whip in congress today.

So, hate away. it's what your leaders want you to do.

I think people spend too much time thinking about Satan--if he exists, it not as God's opposite, but as a subservient being who's just doing his job.

I cringe when I think about the times in church I was told that the main motivation to do some good thing was to "Give Satan a black eye."

We do bad things because we want to--not because some bad guy makes us do them.

Sure- but considering the body count between God and Satan in Christian Mythology, I would have a hard time not hating that god right along with him.

solid question. I even have not at all concept approximately it . Do you think of Jehovah nonetheless loves devil ? i don't be attentive to , i assume not. All i will say is I hate what devil has accomplished . possibly devil is to be pitied for what he has accomplished & the tip he will meet yet i assume if God hated him he could deliver him to eternal torment in hell yet you be attentive to besides as I the lake of hearth is the 2d loss of life meaning eternal sleep without desire of resurrection , which greater befits a God of love. i'm thinking on my ft as I stated it extremely is not some thing I even have concept approximately or studied.basically the recommendations off the right of my head.possibly a much better versed JW provides you with a greater precise answer.

God is God of both good and evil..

While I am on earht God is here.

When I get to heaven God will be there.

Those in hell God will also be there.

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

God is love to love

hate to hate

violence to violence

good to good

truth to truth

lie to lie

2th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Watch South Park...

God and Satan hang out from time to time. It's more or less a challenge, but... if God is omnipotent, then he already knows the outcome and is just playing games... right?
