For the first time in using YA, I have found difficulty in picking best answers.

Why do you think that your group (or those answering in the Sr. section) gives better answers to questions?

I mean, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what Muslims do and say they will always be thought of as terrorists.

Everytime the public opinion shifts and becomes more understanding of Islam, Something happens.

As I have seen on CNN, Christians and Jews don't care what people think of them and they are doing everything in their power to accomplish their goals.

Don't you think we should do the same and stop caring what people think of us.

Just read the following verse from the Quran:

Quran 4:34 "(as to those muslimah’s) on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them;"

Talk about a self-defeating exhortation

I consider myself to be a decent Dad but sometimes I am a real hothead. Will my kids think of me when I am gone and, like Shakespear said, "The evil that men do lives after them. The good is oft interred with their bones. ..."

What will my children remember about me?

It is so difficult now to manage the home. If it weren't for my wife I'd be sunk. We want to know if it gets easier to deal with all of the little problems that the kids come up with as they get older. I know that their problems change and, if possible, become more complicated.

So ... I guess the real question is do they change or do we???

OK, 3 violation notices today so I guess I'll behave for now.

Anyhow, sometimes I feel like that there is not point to worrying about anything as far as studying your eyeballs out of their sockets when at the end of it all all that matters is how you live?

Augustine gave earnest expression to the search for peace when, conscience smitten and repentant, he prayed:"Man is one of your creatures, Lord and his instinct is to praise you. He bears about him the mark of death, the sign of his own sin, to remind him that you thwart the proud. But still, since he is a part of your creation, he wishes to praise you. The thought of you stirs him so deeply that he cannot be content unless he praises you, because you made us for yourself and our hearts find no peace until they rest in you".
------(Confessions, p.21)

Romans 5:1,2
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God".

"It is peace that you need-heaven's forgiveness and peace and love in the soul. Money cannot buy it.....But God offers it to you as a gift,

Cruising YQA it doesn't take long to see that people of most age groups have a broad range of opinions about matters, and they state those opinions as absolutes.

Most of the opinions contradict similar certainties held by others on the same QAs. Meaning the opinions are based on flawed information, or reasoning.

But it's pervasive.

One of the ways I try to keep my mind from atrophying is by backtracking the certainties I hold, and questioning them constantly.

Did we TEACH these youngsters to believe they know everything about everything, or did they come by it some other way?

Senior Citizens over 60 only, please.

You younger models have already had your say, coming at the question from other directions.

I want honest answers, I have been in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life and I always heard from other people(some) that they think mormons are a cult. I don't understand this when we teach about free agency and choosing for yourself. You are very much Christians. People say we believe in poligamy, but we don't. I think they get that from the RLDS religion. I always thought it was funny cause people would tell me I'm not Christian, how do they know, I very much believe in God. Can some one anwer this for me, cause I always wondered way people said it was a cult. I will tell you straight up I'm not a cult member!

Not only do we thirst for meaning; we long for forgiveness, for relief from guilt and culpability.

There are many sources to which humans turn for such freedom. Their are many Idol worshippers who worship at temples and shrines al over the world. Many of these worshippers bring their gifts and offerings to be enlightened. Their emotions are assuaged, but their trangressions remain-and so does their guilt. Their devotions to statues do not offer forgiveness from their sins or freedom from culpability.

Gods that cannot hear cannot forgive. Gods that cannot breathe cannot bless. Gods that cannot speak cannot communicate acceptance, Gods that cannot create cannot re-create.

Only a living God-an incarnated, crucified, and resurrected Saviour-can plead our cause before the Father and undo our sordid past. Only a victorius, living Lord can nullify our trangressions.

Feel free to share any additional thoughts on "forgiveness".
