Augustine gave earnest expression to the search for peace when, conscience smitten and repentant, he prayed:"Man is one of your creatures, Lord and his instinct is to praise you. He bears about him the mark of death, the sign of his own sin, to remind him that you thwart the proud. But still, since he is a part of your creation, he wishes to praise you. The thought of you stirs him so deeply that he cannot be content unless he praises you, because you made us for yourself and our hearts find no peace until they rest in you".
------(Confessions, p.21)
Romans 5:1,2
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God".
"It is peace that you need-heaven's forgiveness and peace and love in the soul. Money cannot buy it.....But God offers it to you as a gift,

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Romans 14:17-19 For God's Kingdom is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of the RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, and JOY which the Holy Spirit gives. And when you serve Christ in this way, you please God and are approved by others. So then, we must always aim at those things that
bring PEACE and that help strengthen one another.
Philippians 4:7 And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.
James 3:17-18 But the wisdom from above is pure first of all; it is also peaceful, gentle, and friendly; it is full of compassion and produces a harvest of good deeds; it is free from prejudice and hypocrisy. And goodness is the harvest that is produced from the seeds the peacemakers plant in peace.
There is a serenity in Christ that transcends all natural human understanding. There is a security... a freedom from burdens... a release into trust of a trustworthy hand...
In Christ, there is fulfillment of this longing for peace and rest - even in the midst of storms. Without Him - there is no peace, even in the quietest places.
Peace.

Absolutely yes yes yes. Jesus is the source of all peace, hope, love and joy, as we rest in HIm till He comes. HE is our example of how to live and think and act, and if we remain in Him, we will have perfect peace and stay in all of HIs blessings to overcome all sin in our life thru the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which we received when He shed His blood at the cross for us all. How can anyone say NO to this man?
There is no peace without Jesus. and you are right, it is free. Is God good or what? YEP>

Nope many wars have been fought just to spread the word of Christ.
The crusades , Spanish invasion and destruction of the South American civilizations all in the name of Christ, so no Christ does not bring about peace I usually brings about war and massive unnecessary bloodshed.

l more than agree. lt's a peace that transcends all understanding. l love him with all my heart...
Thanks for you beautiful quotes, bro.
Edit: I think people misunderstand the word peace in this context. It's a peace inside you, not necessarily in the world where people will always be hating and fighting. Of course it will also affect the way you treat other people, but it starts within yourself, and comes from peace with God.

No I don't agree at all. People find peace in many things, Just because you might find "Peace" in something doesn't mean someone else is going to.

Knowledge of Jesus has been around for 2000 years and there's been little peace yet. Reality disagrees with you.

It seems like he's been absent for a while, due to being dead and all...so I don't see what he's going to do about the situation here.
