Depends on why you don't want to date them. Are you attracted to black women? If not then you just have preferences that don't include black women. Depending upon your reasons, I wouldn't even call it racism if you ARE attracted to black women. For example: If your reason for not wanting to date black women is because you're scared or nervous due to never having dated one before then your decision isn't necessarily racist. (Your fear could be rooted in racism, but not necessarily.)

I hope I'm making sense. (I have a bit of a headache at the moment, so my brain isn't working at optimum.)

If your situation is a matter of attraction, I can understand where you're coming from. I'm attracted to black men. Don't get me wrong- I find men of all races attractive, but I'm not attracted TO them unless they're black. And I've been called a racist for almost my entire life. Unfortunately, there's no limit to ignorance.

EDIT: Oh, you don't believe in interracial marriage? I don't want to judge you... So may I ask what you mean by that and why? If what you intended to express is that it isn't your cup of tea then that's fine... That doesn't necessarily make you a racist. But I have a problem with what you're saying if you're telling us that you think interracial marriage is wrong. You have the right to feel as you do, and you have the right to express your feeling, but I have to say that you are indeed racist if you think it's wrong to marry someone of a different race.

Some will say it is your preference to be prejudice. I personally think (I know for me it is) its preference. I think the only one that can make the determination is you. Only you know why you won't date Black women. I know that some will cease to date a certain group because of a bad experience but lets just say you have never dated that group, then what are you basing your reason for not wanting to date them on? I dated White guys so I can say that I prefer Black men for specific reasons, if you just tell someone I don't do it because I don't want to it may come off as if you motives are racially motivated to some. I hope you get alot of good answers.

at the start, i think of there's a distinction between racism and prejudice. the two are slightly gruesome or worse. Racism is the extra extreme and it incredibly is often per race on my own. everyone has their prejudices however. I admit that i'm no longer prejudice of any race (I come from an incredibly multi-racial kinfolk), yet i'm prejudice for the variety of people who settle on each and every thing approximately you previously attending to renowned you. yet it extremely is yet another tale. What you're describing is definitly decision. in case you have been prejudice you will not like those styles of people all or an excellent variety of the time. while human beings declare it incredibly is, I definitly see it via fact the "racism card". a extra helpful occasion of what you're explaining is while a caucasian guy perfers a blonde over a brunette and vice versa. an excellent variety of the time that particular won't be in a position to truly say why he reveals one extra advantageous. additionally, looks do remember on a similar time as quickly as we don't choose them too. we don't frequently pass over to somebody we stumble on unattractive to confirm what their character is like. people who marry people who are not so appealing, get to renowned them as a man or woman by using a various variety of relationship first, then entertain the thought of romantic family. it incredibly is definitly a element of organic determination, it extremely is ruled via the place our ancestors are from as much as from societal dictations. a mixture of biology and way of existence.

That's just a preference. It starts edging towards racism when a person feels the need to qualify their preferences with only negative (usually stereotypical) things. Hypothetically, things like: I don't date Asian men b/c their wee-wee is too small. I don't date black women b/c they're too loud. I don't date white men b/c they're too controlling. I don't date white women b/c they're goldiggers. Silly things like that. What you've stated for yourself is simply a preference.

If you turn a black girl down it is not racism it is just personal preference.

Preference. I haven't picked up on any racism in your questions, so it sounds like you aren't romantically attracted to black women but you aren't biased toward them either and you don't think that they are less then you. Good luck. 2D

It's preference. I only find black men attractive so, that is who I choose to date. I don't think there is anything wrong with men of other races I just don't find them attractive.

Might depend on your reason for not dating black women...if you turn a black woman down because you aren't attracted to her, then that's no different from turning a white woman down because you aren't attracted to her. If you turn someone down solely based on their skin color (even if you thought she was not unattractive and you didn't dislike her personality at that point) racist wouldn't be an unjustified label.

you are racist if you don't like black people in general simply because of the color of their skin or what you perceive them to be based on lack of knowledge.

however, if you just don't want to date black women because they're not what your interested in, then that's just personal preference.

...............deep down inside EVERYONE already knows if they're racist or not.

p.s.....i'm not racist either......if i was not married already and neither was he, and given the opportunity i'd ride Brad Pitt like a horse :-)
