I'm having a bit of a problem getting my head around the difference between two tenses in Spanish.

Trabajar

He Trabajado = I worked
Trabaje = I worked

I'm guessing one is like saying "I used to work" and one is like saying "I worked" as in "I worked today". Is that right?
If anyone could clear this up for me and give a couple of examples that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Over the course of history, 90% of all religions have disappeared and become non existent, except for being ridiculed by modern man.

After all this time, what makes one sure that their religion is the correct one?

And since most of us neer chose our religion for ourselves, parents choose at birth, how can I know that b/c of my birthplace I am not part of the wrong religion?

And teach kids how to behave in society and skills that they will actually use in life. Would it give kids a better chance to become good people? Would it help to stop them getting involved in crime or is it all the parents fault?

So there is this story, I don't know if it is in the bible or not, about this guy who was walking in the sand there were two tracks of footprints in the sand except when the person was in trouble, there was only one deeper track in the sand. The guy was upset at god for abandoning him in his darkest hour, but god said he carried him.

Couldn't it, however, be more likely, that, if we assume god exists, he just sat on the man's shoulders, thus making his tracks print deeper in the sand, just to poke some fun at the guy ? For it is said, that we are to the gods as flies are to kids.

Easing suffering for a Non-Believer does not mean praying with them. It means listening and supporting.

Can a Christian appreciate the fact that their human presence can be a balm without insisting on bringing their religion into the relationship, and therefore shut down all the support they could have offered?

I was not surprised by what I saw. I honestly did not think they would interview the calm, decent, honest, normal christians. The two biggest stories were about a wacky woman that is trying to influence politics and a money grubber that preys on the emotions of teenagers. Real Christians are not like these people featured in this special. I feel bad for those hundreds of thousand teenagers that are fooled by the Mr Luce guy. Playing on the emotions of children is not good. Mr Luce is a perfect example of who Jesus was talking about when he said "whoever causes oneof these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the sea"...By the way the charge over $600 a month for these teenagers to go to these camps and they are a year long, do the math...This guy is making a ton of money on these teenagers....NOT WHAT CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT.

I painted a picture of a passionate christ administering to the harlets. I though nakedness was a beautiful thing. Anyway it drew a large bid at the art show and I wanted to donate the money to the church.

I've been agreeing with this lately. Sex sells and cash spends better than morals... why is this? I'm so tired of seeing women exploiting themselves just for some cash, it's ridiculous. Wouldn't you rather have an empty pocket but still have your pride?

Same goes for men with strip clubs and such. They're paying all this money to watch some girl take off her clothes, I think it's disgusting, there's no reason or excuse for it. Whatever happened to imagination?

Now that I am "middle aged" I know that I have had to give up on some only to replace them with others. Is that a normal part of the aging process? Did you give up on your "dreams of youth" and are the dreams you replaced them with better than the initial ones.
