Why won't the church accept my check?

Question

I painted a picture of a passionate christ administering to the harlets. I though nakedness was a beautiful thing. Anyway it drew a large bid at the art show and I wanted to donate the money to the church.

You should donate the money to the local womens shelter or womens transitional home. Tell them of the painting and maybe add a photo of the painting and let them know that you wanted the money to go to the people that needed it the most. I bet they wouldn't turn it away and would appreciate anything else you could do in the name of their organization.
Most of our Christian based religions or 1 deity religions are hypocritcal and erogant with a holyier than thou attitude anyway. The can not see the beauty you created in the name of the person that left them the message of the ultimate good samaritan and forgiveness for all.

Who know? Donate it to a better cause.
My mom is an artist and she painted a potrait of Mother Theresa and she was holding a brown baby and as we were standing next to a couple of older ladies they commented how beautiful the painting was...even though the baby is black!
Just proves that ignorance in the world does not discriminate.

They probably looked at your motive.

Your painting obviously had nudity in it so.......think about it for a second.
