1JOHN 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
*****************************************
Michael Vick does deserve forgivness if he does the above....
and if we do not forgive him, we dont deserve forgiveness for what we have done in the darkness.
ALL of our deeds will come to light on Judgement Day when we stand before God.
you'll see........be blessed jen

I've seen a many of African Americans coming to the aid of Michael Vik concerning his conviction. Not that they believe that he is innocent but that he is/was a role model for many of the youth. But, just because he is black, are you willing to let him go and do it again in the name of brotherhood or are you willing to let one, of the many accused, free just because he is a celebrity in the eyes of African American Society?
Religiously speaking, I can forgive him, the question is that when he goes in front of his Omnipotent deity, will he be so willing to forgive him? And will Michael learn from his discrepancies? Is there more he is doing that we do not know about that may or is adversely affecting the community where this accusation took place? Do you really want someone like that to be a role model for our youth no matter what their ethnicity? Those are the questions that need to be asked.

Everyone can have forgiveness. The worst murderer on death row can recieve forgiveness, that still doesn't mean they should get off scott free for their crimes. Forgiveness also comes to those who are repentant. Is Vick torn up about his cruelties to animals? Probably not. He's sorry he got caught. He'll have to deal with his gamble to break the law, and he'll have to deal with his barbarism, but has he changed personally? Whose forgiveness would he want, ours or God's or neither, or both?

He deserves forgiveness. If he asks God he will be forgiven. That does not mean that he does not deserve to serve whatever sentence he gets here.
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

I missed hearing what Vick did.
But he should be forgiven if he repents.
That does not mean that he will not have to pay the penalty for his crime here on earth, but that his sin is forgiven in Heaven.

Sin is an affront against an imaginary deity. Michael Vick is a sadistic dip wad who deserves prison time.

There's no such thing as "sin". But Michael Vick is guilty of at least one federal crime and deserves to be punished for it according to what the law prescribes. And in my opinion, the nature of his crime indicates that he is seriously emotionally disturbed and should be treated for his mental illness.

He definitely deserves (human) forgiveness, so did Jack the Ripper. That doesn't mean they shouldn't have to face the music for what they did.

I have never once harmed an animal out of a sick sense of sadistic pleasure and wanton disregard for life. I would say I am more human that that sick s.o.b. He needs to be put away for a good long time.
