So there is this story, I don't know if it is in the bible or not, about this guy who was walking in the sand there were two tracks of footprints in the sand except when the person was in trouble, there was only one deeper track in the sand. The guy was upset at god for abandoning him in his darkest hour, but god said he carried him.

Couldn't it, however, be more likely, that, if we assume god exists, he just sat on the man's shoulders, thus making his tracks print deeper in the sand, just to poke some fun at the guy ? For it is said, that we are to the gods as flies are to kids.

This poem is not in the Bible, I do not know if the author is known, but it has been used to give people encouragement, and it will continue to uplift people, God carries us, as a father who will carry his child if injured, God assumes the role of a shepard to carry a lamb, to say he would force us to carry him is not correct, he will never burden his child. I have been trough tough times, the same as every one here, but I knew Jesus was there to uplift me, and carry me through. God bless and may he carry you

Dahlink...There are a lot of stories in the bible. Most of them are fables. Belief is a matter of a faith that offers a reward to the believers for doing what we all should do. I wonder if these folks would conduct their behavior in the same way if there were no promise of candy as a reward.

That story is not in the bible but is very reflective of those who walk with Christ because he gets his followers through tough times. God doesn't think of us as flys, we are made by him and he loves us. Saying that we are like flys is like saying a beautiful peice of pottery is like mud to the potter or a music peice is toilet paper to the composer... it doesn't work.
