"IF" true, what type of impact would this have on Christianity and the world, besides the vatican losing much of its pull and power. Is it true that it is mostly the vatican fighting this idea??

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — James Ford Seale, a reputed Ku Klux Klansman, was sentenced Friday to three life terms in prison for his role in the 1964 abduction and murder of two black teenagers in southwest Mississippi.

Seale, 72, was convicted in June on federal charges of kidnapping and conspiracy in the deaths of Charles Moore and Henry Hezekiah Dee, two 19-year-olds who disappeared from Franklin County on May 2, 1964.

The young men's bodies were found two months later in the Mississippi River.

The prosecution's star witness against Seale was Charles Marcus Edwards, a confessed Klansman, who received immunity from prosecution for his admitted role in the abductions and his testimony.

As far as I'm concerned, they should have jailed that last klanner boy, Charles Marcus Edwards because he shouldn't have gotten off scott free just because he turned state's evidence. Why hasn't anyone destroyed the monkey's before now? Why were they left roaming the earth in their own waste?

My 2 yr old (soon to be 3) has talked about 3 or 4 different people since he was able to put crude sentences together. All of which he has said come to visit him, play with him, or stay in his room..? At the youngest time it was "Man". "Man" kinda scared him and he always repeated that "Man" was going to hit daddy on the head and hurt him. Then it was a woman..never gave her an actual title I guess, but she was pretty, young, smiled a lot and liked to dance. Now it is T.D. A boy bigger than him not bigger than me(mommy) with brown hair and eyes, sometimes he is nice, sometimes not so..my son says he doesn't live here but comes around and plays in his room..I asked where T.D. came from and Every time my son says the sky, momma, he comes from the sky. In the middle of some of this some of his battery operated toys started going off by themselves..his father said they had shorts in them but it only happened when his father wasn't home. (i.e. toys don't have selective shorts in them) ..huh

Over and over on this forum we hear, "The Bible can not be trusted by reason of the fact that is was written by humans".
Ok, now, if this is the benchmark of what can and can not be trusted as reliable information, then how is it that those who use this perspective to dimiss the Bible, place any confidence at all in any human publication?
Whether it is medicine (say the doctrine blood saves lives)
biology, or a respected reference work, like the encyclopedias, of any other well respected human writing, why the double standard, that the Bible can not be trusted, BECAUSE it was written by men, yet the writings of man that disagree with the Bible can be trusted, BECAUSE they were written by men?
Is not this the same as what the Bible believers are often accused of? Picking and choosing?

Not trying to start any trouble, but doesn't this seem illogical?

When I was in first grade, we'd get in trouble for saying "shut up" to each other. No lie.If you said 'hell', it was instant time-out.

I graduated high school last year. First graders now, at my old school, are dropping f-bombs on each other frequently, while the teachers (the SAME teachers) look the other way.

What the hell is going on? This is the crap that makes me think the media, the rap, the video games, are a really, really bad influence.

In some earlier Qs, I have proposed that upon death no personality could go to heaven complete, that it had to be diminished in some way for the following reasons: As there aren´t two people who could agree a 100% on the planet (Colors, tastes, forms and languages are interpreted subjectively for everyone of us), heaven would be ripe with revolution, or would just repeat some form of earthlike chaotic society, if personal instincts and personal perspectives were allowed free rein. Christians answered that the personality does not follow to heaven, that only the soul went back to its owner: god. However, after having interacted with several Alzheimer patients, I came very close to understand what is a mind stripped of personality, and it ain´t fun... at all. So christians, which one will it be: Do we go conscious to meet the creator and make a mess of things in his house? Or do we go as zombies and drool all over the place?

No verses please. Predigested info disgusts me...

I feel that members of our senior citizen group is under utilized in this country. It seems to me that they are a wasted resource which will be uncoverable once they are gone. What they offer to the next generation is a limitless bank of experience. They are the keeper of moral standard and values. Yet, I think they sometime take these incredible assets to heaven while leaving younger generations very little to inherit. I hope one day we'll recognize the potentials of this wealth and benefit from them. Having said that, I actually feel that it's the responsibility of each senior citizen to find a mean to preserve and past on their knowledge and wisdoms. If museums are design to preserve physical artifacts, should we not create some similar institution to preserve the experience of these surviving generation. How come we've baseball museum, yet we don't have an insitution where seniors can teach and share their life with younger members ? I think we'll be surprise at the results....

Well, I mean, are we having trouble getting along with others???, I just went for lunch and half of the tables were occupied by only one person, I've seen this a lot. Maybe it's time because sometimes I eat alone because as my boss is unpredictable I never have lunch at the same hour or sometimes I have to eat in 20 minutes so...

Is this normal?

This is just an opinion poll. No hate or disrespect intended. I've tried to phrase this as objectively as possible. This question does not seek to "bring down the Church," and yes, I've read the Official Declaration, conveniently located on the lds.org website. Thanks in advance!

Then they say "just because darkness (evil) exists doesn't mean light (god) doesn't"

And there they have thier answer to the "problem with evil".

My question: If God is everywhere, then light should also be everywhere, so there would be no darkness (evil) where there is light (god). Yet darkness *does* exist so where there is evil, because god is everywhere, there is also god there.

So, where there is darkness, because god is also there, God is this darkness?

How do you console yourselves when a loved one passes away; especially if they suffered a horrible fate (disease, blasphemy, injustice etc)? I mean...my only consolance would be that I will be rejoiced with them in the hereafter...that they are in a better place..

Don't you believe there is more to life than just..life? Is it a natural inclination to yearn for our rejoice in the next world; that we will be one happy family again? Instead of rotten worm food.
