Every view and belief is personal and you have to find out with each individual. But it's funny how some say on here there is only one god yet their bible says thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Some give a deity value to everything and arrive at many gods; sun gods, moon gods, male and female gods, gods of nature, patriarchal, matriarchal and so forth. Others (like
myself) do the same only arrive at one creator over all who may be recognized in many facets and who might be called by many names but is still only one God in essence. In this, I recognize divinity in the natural world and recognize God in a singular sense as Creator of all things so I naturally would not choose to segregate the universe into the result of the efforts of many gods. Who then would I worship? Those who follow the teachings of Jesus then would view the worship of any god other than the Creator as just plain silly.
(no offense intended)
It is my desire to be known for what I am "For" as opposed to what I am "Against". Those who use religious differences as an excuse for hating and persecuting others do not in any way understand the message of Christ. Personally, I take great pleasure in finding the similarities in the various world religions instead of the differences. "Harm none", for example, is a double negative for "love your neighbor" because if you care for someone you will want them to be safe and well, you would not want any harm to come to them.

Christians beleive in Christ, henst the name. The Bible states that the only way to have salvation, is to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and repent of your sins. This is a remarkable experience that is wonderful. I hope you open your heart and mind and you will see & feel the truth.
I have personal experience being a non-believer. I was deceived by evil, I thought it was the right way. But God has helped me see the truth and my heart is lighter now. Some Christians may seem a bit harsh, but they are just trying to help.

Dear Buxom Blackwater,
Christians beliefs are based on God's word: The Bible. The Bible teaches that there is only one way to have a relationship with God and that is through His Son - Jesus Christ.
So those who are non-Christians (do not believe in Christ) do not have a relationship with God (making them God-less).
I hope that answers your question. i'm not here to argue with you about this topic- though if you'd like to start a discussion feel free to email me. i'm just answering your question. Christians believe in what the Bible teaches- and the Bible teaches that Jesus is the only way to know God- and so people who don't have Jesus don't know God...
Hope that helps. Respectfully,
Nickster

The way to God is through Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus into your heart and life and adhering to his teachings is being a Christian - a true believer - a God fearing (respecting) person.
Being religious or just merely "believing" in God isn't going to get you anywhere. Even Satan & his demons believe in God.
You must believe in Jesus Christ to be saved and thus be a Christian to be a belliever and live a God centered life.

Because Christianity is based on a personal encounter and relationship with the Living God of the Bible. Anything else is pretty much a "concept" or "doctrine". They look upon it as being an empty belief system.
Note: I am just explaining their point of view.
BTW - Belief in God will not save you...
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! - James 2:19

we might consider them non believers in the God we serve, but at least we do not consider them as infidels to be murdered for their lack of faith or understanding. Like some religions believe and practice daily.
Hey "Thrice baked" if we believed what you have said WHY do we always try to "CONVERT" people? now I bet you can't come up with a good answer for that one can you?

Ah, because they choose to remain ignorant and antagonistic. This way, in their minds, they give themselves a better chance of earning the Golden Ticket at the Rapture - just think, Buxom! 144,000 out of billions and billions of people? That's nothing! Barely a percentage! To keep their selfish fantasy alive they have to remain dumb, angry, and arrogant, lest their evil god deny them entry into his personal playground.
NOTE: I only mean this toward the 'some' Christians, not the all.
Or it could be because they don't have dictionaries in the Deep White South... but then again, they must; all of 'em seem to have computers. Chalk it up to narcissism and generations of stupidity.
Love,
God
