but why was it there in the first place ?

Will i find God if i were to take my own life? He just took my baby brother who was killed by a drunk driver, then my mom to cancer. That was all i had in this mean world. My depression over the past 6 months have caused me to lose evryting i had, i'm now homeless, and have nothing. I miss my family...i'm sick of spending my days in a library for shelter,sick of searching for food...for jobs that i cant even get because i have no phone or address to leave. I'm at my end...but i love God and want to spend eternity with him and my family...will he forgive me and take me with him? Please pray for my soul!!

How do we even know that it is Abe Lincoln in that grave?

We have FAITH that Abe Lincoln's grave contains Abe Lincoln's body. We cannot prove it. Even pictures could have been a hoax. No living witnesses of him are still living today. We believe what the eyewitnesses told us about his assassination. In 50 years, are we going to question the witnesses?

How is this any different than Christ? His witnesses who recorded the events were from all walks of life and there are no contradictions between sources. There was no question of biblical truth 150 years after Christ. Why would Christians at the time sacrifice their lives for a lie? Does that make any sense?

We can say "beyond a REASONABLE doubt" that Abe Lincoln was assassinated.

Why can't we make a good case for Jesus Christ's Death and Resurrection?

His existence has been proven without the Bible.

I saw this Bulgarian guy in Dublin last Saturday while i was in the pub with my mates.He was wearing an ireland top and singing irish songs etc.He was making himself out to be 100% irish when im guessing hes only in the country a few months.He was starting to piss me off so i asked him what part of ireland his parents were from and where he was born?
He got the hump and said he was as irish as me.
I started speaking irish to him,he didnt respond so i basically laughed at him and told him he was bulgarian for life no matter how much he wanted it different.

My mates said it was a bit harsh,id had a few by then but i stand by what i said.If you are not born in the country or have irish ancestors then you can not be irish,or any other nationality for that matter.If i moved to bulgaria i would never start arguing that i was bulgarian.

Is this racist?

I'm a club-a-holic, and I usually never never take a guy home with me... I always use protection, and I usually never get completely drunk. I was so drunk that I forgotten most of what happen that night... I rememder I was at a club talking to some guy and then I take a taxi home.. I woke up the next morning with some white guy looking at me. I'm serious!!! I ask him did he use a condom and he say no. I said, "what!!!??" I'm so afriad I might be pregnant right now. I am Junior in college, I can't be pregnant!! If I'm pregnant I would want to abort it... But, I know that isn't right.. I would hate to kill an innocent child. The guy take a shower, and eventually left to go to work... I'm so scaried right now.. My family is very racist...What should I do?
I just hope I'm not pregnant.. If I am this would be my first child...

Why is there so much violence these days i this country, its like every week there is a story about someone being shot or stabbed or attacked in some way. "Impossible" by definition means it cannot be done so, let me ask you.... is anything impossible?

If you say yes, some things are impossible, then how can God do them? (because "God can do anything", or am I wrong)

I'm returning to work after being on medical leave. There is a person high up in management who shows a very insincere and faked interest in the workers, and only when she is forced to stand within a few feet of them. She will put on the act when ridng in the elevator, but otherwise walks right past and ignores them. At some point she and I will be on the elevator and I am dreading her excited "so how ARE you??" when really she couldn't care less. I'd like to say something like "aren't you kind for asking!" and not disclose anything. Is that polite enough? What else should I say? Or maybe I should go into every disgusting medical detail. What do you think?

What is the best way of getting out of being invited to sales party? Especially if they invite you personally, and you do not want to go because you do not want to be pressured into buying something? Should you be honest and say, " I don't want to go bc I don't want to buy anything?", or just lie and say you are busy?

What if the person is a relative or in-law?

It never ends..AVON, Mary Kay, Cutco, Pampered Chef...etc etc............If I went to all of them and constantly bought just "to be nice" I would go broke.

Ok my dad doesnt live with me so he always gets me seperate things anyway he fixes computers and knows all about the latest gadgets so normally hes the one who gets me technical stuff and my mum gets me girly stuff Anyway ive made up my mind i dont want an xbox 360 i dont want a ps3 i dont want a game console of any sort cause i know im not gonna use it and i have no idea of something technical to get i mean i do WANT something technical but ive ran out of ideas

I posted a "question" warning seniors to be aware of how much personal information some were giving out, where do you live etc. and was slapped with a Violation Notice, so apparently warning seniors to be cautious of people fishing for information is a Violation of Yahoo's customer standards.

Isnt that just freaking amazing considering the filth posted on Yahoo that they wont remove?

im only 14... my mom and dad are divorced and everything and i go to my dads on weekends you know the process.

but like 5 years after my mom and dad split (i was 3 when they split)

my dad meets someone else.they get married and divorce like 7 or 8 years later

but right after they got divorced the sister of my dads ex dies in australia on her honeymoon by drowning (it was on the news)

and my dad goes to the funeral and sees his ex is pregnant....

and the kid is like 3 or 4 now and at first everyone thinks its not my dads...

and now everyone thinks it might be....

and i wont know if i have a brother until november 19 which is driving me off the f*cking wall...

advice for me or anybody?!?!?!!!

(and yes i know this isnt about religion but this is one of the very few sections i trust on advice and whatnot because people here are smart.)
