I posted a "question" warning seniors to be aware of how much personal information some were giving out, where do you live etc. and was slapped with a Violation Notice, so apparently warning seniors to be cautious of people fishing for information is a Violation of Yahoo's customer standards.

Isnt that just freaking amazing considering the filth posted on Yahoo that they wont remove?

No it didnt even get posted here, they stopped it from being put on the senior site entirely, snatched it out of the air and slammed me for it

course I used a fictional person named "Mary Poppins" to make my point and give the standard of people employed in customer service that might have gone right past them. (duh)

another violation notice for objecting to a poster calling the disabled retards and saying they should all be killed at birth. I said god willing he will end up disabled someday and be on the receiving end.

Yahoo customer service appears to be in India where the disabled are looked upon as "untouchable" so they wont remove any offensive post from that site. We need a site that has western standards.

You have fallen victim to a troll, simple as that. And by answering, I will probably recieve a violation, and you may get another for this question. Violations have nothing to do with reality..they are automatic...when you are flagged or reported, the entire system is automatic. This is the biggest failing of Yahoo Answers...this is just one facet of what I have been trying to warn you all about. Block ALL suspected trolls..they cannot answer your questions, but they still can, and do, report you for their perverse pleasure.
REPEAT...yahoo reads NOTHING, it is automated. There are NO appeals boards, regardless of what they say...it is all automatic, no one reads anything at yahoo EVER! Get enough violations and you are booted. OF course, you can always come back with a new screen name, for yahoo does not ban IP addresses...if they did that, there would be no trolls. !

Yep! Yahoo must have hired some new "Go-Getter" who gets points for being "The Troll" LOL

I can't tell you how many times Big Brother has slapped my hand. We gotta get that website going. I'm trying to get a different email address to give out so we can talk. Do you think that's too much information?

Did you put it in the form of a question? Sometimes all you have to do is re-word it & then you can get in some of your own facts along the way. There IS a fine line to what you CAN & CAN'T get away with. You CAN contest it & you may have your points returned if you feel that strongly about it!

I used to get violation emails
all the time. When I first started, I was shocked at the
questions/bigotry/insults/demeaning
remarks/filthy talk, etc. so I
answered back. when I'm mad, I can cut the head off a
cat with my tongue. So I laid
it out there and voila!
I backed off for awhile, but now, I tell them off double
just to get it off my chest and
I've had no warnings. I figure
who cares? I have other things to do anyhow. I'm wasting far too much time on here.

Unfortunately your question does not adhere to the policy and guidelines of Q&A. It does say no statements. I've learned to get around it-unless a moron troll reports you for the question/statement, Try to word it as a question that can be answered yes or no.

Example:

"Did you know that giving out personal info........ ? Yes or no."

Customer service appears to be a "little short" on common sense. I ask a question about chicken soup and I was in the cooking section, my question was deleted.

I think, like AOL, YAHOO employs INDIANS who don't have the understanding of the different nuances of the English language. I once got, on AOL, a report for using the following: SOCIAL INTERCOURSE, MASTICATION, PRIG.
The INDIAN lady I talked to said PRIG really sounds vulgar! HAHAHAHAHA
Oh, and the 'violation' stuck!
(And if YOU don't know what those words mean, look them up. They are NOT 'nasty'. )
I even got reported on AOL for describing MYSELF as a jackass....a stubborn, four legged animal! hahahaha. Said I used obscene language!

I've often wondered if the admin folk read the posts/questions before they act.

I myself have gotten violation notices for things I would never even think of.

Gads, it never ceases to amaze me.....the junk that goes thru and then the things that happen to good folks.

Granny:
Let me know how we can best give the address and pass to those who want it?! Thanks!
