Witnessing is a vital part of the Christian life; the Bible teaches that the true believer will desire to share with others what God has done for him; read John 4:28-30,39-42 and 1 John 1:1-4. God commands us and empowers us to be His witnesses (Matthew 4:19 and Acts 1:8). Our testimony will not always be accepted, but through the Holy Spirit indwelling our hearts we receive power to live a victorious Christian life and serve Christ effectively; read Ephesians 5:18 and Luke 11:13.

Here are a few suggestions that might help you to lead others to Christ: Live a consistent Christ-centered life; be a friend and a good listener; pray that the Holy Spirit will give opportunity for witness and prepare the individual to receive the Word of life (John 16:7-11); and avoid arrogance and preachiness. You should pray daily for the people on your prayer list and ask God for wisdom to present the claims of Christ to them; read James 1:5, 3:17.

I usually get together with a couple of church buddies and hand out tracts at a local park, as well as invite them to our bible study group. It seems to work well, and our study group has been growing, as well as the number of converts.

This http://www.wayofthemaster.com/ isn't bad. They also have a TV show (TBN). I don't like the way that they interpret the 10 commandments, and they refuse to believe that anyone has gone through life without stealing, but the method is sound. "Guilting" people into conversion was used by the apostles early in Acts.

The best witness you have is the life you live. Just be the Love of God to people, and be confident in your faith. People will be far more receptive to the example you set than to anything you have to say to them. Above all, don't show judgment, condemnation, etc. Show love and respect.

Peace to you.

We go door to door, place literature with anyone anywhere that will listen. People are very seldom home anymore, therefore we go the businesses, bus stops, train stations, airports, wherever there are people. My favorite place is Wal-Mart parking lots, people coming out don't mind getting something to read - most of the time.

Actually, myself,I like to find a common ground with a person first, get to know them, what their interests are, and let the Lord lead me to when the time is right. Rather than risk losing them & scaring someone away.

Some people have had so many other people pushing religion in their life, they automatically turn everyone away. With some people, it just takes spending time with them and a willingness to befriend them first, to establish a foundation of trust. They're not as open to it.

Atleast that way, I'm not' pushing', because if they're not receptive, they'll only resent it. That's why Jesus always said, "He who has hears, let Him hear." But then again, everybody has their own take on it and their own approach, I'm more shy and reserved than maybe the next person and how they might do it.

Paul said, "When I am weak to those who are weak, I share in their weakness, for I want to bring weak to Christ, Yes, I try to find a common ground with everyone, doing everything I can, to save some." 1 Cor 9:22† (Other versions say, I become as they are, that I might win some) v.23 "I do this for the sake of the Gospel, that I might share in it's blessings"

All I know, is God created each person different, with different gifts and abilities, some people seem to be more equipt and out-going than others, I'm more laid back, so it's not natural for me to go up to strangers, and try to witness to them right away. I seem to have more results when I meet them where they are in life, and just minister to their needs and loving them as they are. They'll usually ask me about God themselves, and this tells me, if they are asking for themself, they are more apt to be receptive to the answers.

Than being cornered or nagged about 'religon', giving them unwanted advice. It'll just go in the trash. I want it to penetrate their hearts.

But, I know that's what Kirk Cameron, on wayofthemaster.com does it,they just approach people on the street. He and Ray comfort, are bringing people to the Lord using the 10 commandments and tracts on the street.

Best way, it to just consider how Jesus went about it. He ministered to their needs, if they invited Him over for dinner, He went. But He never entered a man's house without an invitation first, and He never forced them to agree with Him or argued beliefs or ideas, as I've heard some do concerning different religions.

He merely brought up a subject and then answered their questions, as He is very much of a Gentleman, and Meek and lowly at heart. He washed their feet., He sent food to them, He said He does nothing concerning them except that which He has seen His Father do. He told them the things He speaks of are what His Father told Him, are not of Himself, but are sent into the world, just as He was sent.

His Father's Will was first priorty. When He felt tired, even when there were crowds of people, He left them to go out into the wilderness alone to rest and pray to His Father. He was all about doing His Father's Will. Even as a child, He went off to do His Father's Will without telling anyone where He was going or what He doing, even His parents.

He told His deciples, "If they receive you, they will also receive Me and the Father, for the Father & I, are One."

Even when He preached, He just went to the mountain side and started teaching whoever would listen, And He taught them with parables and used examples that would be easier for the lost to understand. And the people came to Him, they were drawn to Him by His Perfect example of Love for others, for everyone.

Some people are just naturally more assertive and out spoken in this area more than others, and so it just comes naturally with their personality,so I would just say, just use your natural gifts, in the spirit that God has given you, pray at all times, and depending upon what your spiritual gifts are, you might find the Lord sending people TO you, to minister to, or to encourage.

Or He may put it on your heart when you see someone, to go up and talk to them or have ask you to do a certain thing for them to bless them. Just be sure to pray about and spend time with the Lord first before you set out to go witnessing. I like to always carry a small Bible with me, wherever I go,just in case. (you never know)

Just go about planting seeds, day to day. Jesus said the world is the field. And let Jesus water them and break up the soil in their hearts. Cuz, you can't plant seeds on hard ground, either it will blow away with the wind, or the enemy will take it away.

I like to get a stack of little Bible verse cards, that cetch my own eye, and just leave them where some body might find it and pick it up on their own, or I let a few of them go in the wind.

Simply because I found a Bible verse card on the ground one time, and I picked it up off the ground, and read it, and it just happened to be the perfect verse I needed, for what I was going through at that time in my life.

I found comfort from that little verse card, and carried it around with me for quite awhile. Hopefully maybe I can do the same for someone else.

Blessings!!
