Why some people can't have friends?

Well, I mean, are we having trouble getting along with others???, I just went for lunch and half of the tables were occupied by only one person, I've seen this a lot. Maybe it's time because sometimes I eat alone because as my boss is unpredictable I never have lunch at the same hour or sometimes I have to eat in 20 minutes so...

Is this normal?

Since you see it all the time, it sounds pretty normal.

Yes and no. I used to work at a place where that was the case, but I didn't like eating by myself so I would find people to sit by and talk to even if it was just for a few minutes. You can't always help your circumstances but you can always try to make the best of them. Be friendly, say hello, and see where it goes.
