Saying "God did it" is far easier and more comforting than trying to find real answers to the big questions.

As with most leaps, this one is a straw man. The original argument does not draw the conclusion that you (mis)characterize, and it involves a few intermediate steps in reasoning. Maybe you should leave philosophy to the professionals.
(Not to you-) Since when was Des Cartes at the Council of Nicea?

Yes it is.
But it's in the Jewish Creation fable.
Which they call the Infallible word of God.
The message is to love God you must become stupid.
When you ask if the parable of the man in Hell wanting a drop of water is true they say no it's a parable!
They can't comprehend that Genesis could be a big parable.
Can you believe 53% of Americans believe in creation?
I could understand a statistical number of fanatics maybe 5% but 53%!!!
The universe isn't weirder than you imagine it weirder than you can imagine!

Because you're supposed to believe a story that was made up thousands of years ago, then edited by hundreds of people before it was ever even written down. And have faith that it is accurate. You can't prove someone's opinion is wrong. But you've made a good point of how silly it sounds to some.

Why do you call yourself, "His4life", then turn right around and express your doubts with a swear word?
If any being is capable of creating something out of nothing, is capable of creating the universe, with all the stars, constellations, solar systems, etc., is capable of creating a planet which can sustain life in all of its existing diversity, *and* is even capable of creating life, itself, why would that being not be Omnipotent enough to create
it all in seven days?

You atheists claim to be all knowledgeable. You act as if you sit and research science as much as an astrophysicist, but has one of you actually researched the science behind creationism? Because it's not something that just exists in someones mind, like evolution's mind gripping science. (Uh duh, we came from apes!! And I'm not so sure atheists have evolved all that much from their believed and beloved ancestors.)
There is real science that does support the creationist point of view. So until one of you finally does some real research instead of just using mindless assumptions, then I am going to just count you as ignorant as you imply that we are!

I wouldn't say there "must be", but it's more logical to believe that life came from life than non-life, consciousness from consciousness than non-consciousness, etc. (add intelligence, sense of morality, love, or any other attribute that we don't share with a purely naturalistic material universe).

They call it faith for a reason! All religion is a leap of faith :)
However, I agree with your synopsis - of course that's why I converted from christianity to wicca.
