Dellajoy, that is interesting, you have God involved with reincarnation; I don't think that's allowed in any of the Abrahamic religions, and is particularly frowned on by Christians.

No...
Science has nothing whatsoever to do with faith, or lack of faith.
Some imbeciles have chosen to make scientific advances a battleground between atheism and people of faith...but it is a losing battle on both sides.
Science cannot ever prove or disprove the existence of God,
nor is God concerned about proving or disproving science.
It's just little people arguing about little things...

No science has only made the need for God stronger. The only thing Science has done is show us God is there. Yes some people miss use it to make an excuse to say he is not, this is no different than a man who uses the bible as an excuse to belittle his wife. it is simply wrong to think science has shown us there is no God. Think about DNA there has never been a more efficient form of information storage found by man. the best computer in the world falls short. Information does not happen by chance, so this to me only shows me God is stronger and more apparent then ever. I have spent a good portion of my life looking into science and how it supports God, The scientific method was invented by Christians as a way to glorify God. It has and will continue to do so for as long as we are here.

No, I think God is assisting us in opening and broadening our understanding. In a way, I suppose, it can be a faith tester, but when I see the complexity of the universe or the earth I can't help but realize there just might be a higher power in charge.

God is a being of truth, science is in pursuit of truth. The two truths do not have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, they should be one and the same. God created science, so ultimately science will figure out how God put the pieces to together to get us. Just because the Bible doesn't mention genetics or evolution doesn't mean they can't possibly be true. Just because science doesn't work well with religion make religion false.

science is nothing more than a way to experimentally and evidentally prove something. Not all things can be proven in such a way. So they say you have to have evidence and proof to know that something exists. Many scientists over and over again have been proven wrong about many things and they have to rethink their approach to come up with a better and more logical conclusion. Hence evolution is born. Science doesn't go hand in hand with God because to have a belief in God you don't need scientific proof. To believe in something you can't see is purely mind over matter. And improvement in science over whether there is a God or not is only a confirmation that scientists must believe something exists if they try so hard to disprove it.

Science completely lines up with the bible. But, you have to look at ALL the scientific data that exists, and not ignore any data. What you see in textbooks is a censored version of science, because when a person sees all the science, they tend not to believe in things like evolution, or "old earth" ideas, because these things are not supported by the scientific data we have.

It could very well be. The Word says that our faith would be 'tried as if by fire'. So to me, it makes perfect sense that people continually discover more "scientific proof" against the existence of God. The faithful know that fellowship with the world and the things of the world, including other explanations that deny Biblical truth, is enmity toward God.
If one were to seek "evidence" of just about anything, they could come up with enough to make up an argument for or against anything. Your faith and true belief is in your heart.
Satan cannot war with the heart, and so he chooses to war with the mind. That is his first target in anyone.

No, it's our knowledge of the universe widening and causing the narrower viewpoints to fall away and open up wider.

If a "scientific advance" causes something I believe to fall away, if something "scientific" causes me to realize that a certain belief or behavior is false or unnecessary, then it's becuase that belief/behavior was false/unnecessary.

In a nutshell: science can never prove that there is no God. It can only prove that our old ways of thinking about God and creation are too small.

Advances in science make it easier to trust in God. When the OT dietary laws were given, no scientists were around to tell us it was bad to eat pork, or catfish, or shrimp, etc. Since then, science has shown that God knew what He was talking about, and now we do too. There was no evidence of the benefit of anti-oxidants in our diet - now we know that we get them from fruits with seeds (coincidentally, just what God told us to eat). Seedless fruit comes from crossing plants, to make hybrids - seems convenient to eat, but we lose the anti-oxidants, and now cancer runs rampant. God said not to plant more than one crop in your field - turns out that the cross pollinating results in the hybrids.

Advances in science prove that God is who He said He is, time and time again!

No, I don't think so- I think it's just progressive human innovation at work. And if God did truly create humans as many believe, and humans are the ones who developed science, doesn't that sort of mean that science and God are connected?

Most of the sciences seem to be trying to cram Darwin's theory down our throats, but there have been some cases where science only proves events from the Bible.
