I know that the jetsons are a cartoon but that type of place looks so awesome, easy access to outer space, luxury hotels in orbit, colonies on the moon, that sort of stuff.

The Book of Isaiah was written 800 BC.
The DSS has the intact book of Isaiah dated 250 BC
In the Gospel of Luke Jesus teaches from the prophesies of Isaiah 53 Jesus claims this scripture is prophesy of him that he will fufill.
The Qu'ran in written in 600 AD Muhammad's book disagreesw iht the prophsies of Isiaiah
The book of Isiah we have today agrees wiht the scripture Jesus read in Luke, and the dead sea scrolls where Isaiah sas the Messiah will atone for sin.
If the book of Isaiah is corrupt now why is it the same as when Jesus refered to it?
Why is it the same as 250 years before the birth of Christ?
If this prophesy of Christ is not corrupt why is the Qu'ran teaching different than the prophets of God and Jesus?

If you check Sura 4-35 in the Quran.
It says the following:
" Men are managers of the affairs of women for that God has preferred in bounty one of them over another, and for that they have expended of their property."

This Surah clearly tells us Men are above women. So how can Muslim women say they are equal to Men.
Also just a note if anyone mentions a hadith(prophets sayings) saying the prophet said "Man is equal to woman" please let me know. Becuase a hadith should not contradict the Quran. Quran stands by itself. If a hadith contradicts the Quran the Hadith is considered to be invalid. Also the Quran does says respect your parents, don't use the argument saying the prophet said mother is most important person in the world. Mother is a parent. A man can beat his wife and his daughter but not his mother.

So once again on what basis do western muslimah considers themselves equal to men when it is clearly forbidden in the Quran?

I am reposting the below as I resolved the question before I go away but still would like further comments - I shall read on return -

When I was a girl I used to wear my older brothers' old shorts to play in (and the fact that they had had good use out of them and they were still fit for me to wear shows that you don't need teflon coating on children's clothes) but my Father out a stop to that when I was about thirteen and looking back I am glad for it.
I certainly would not have been allowed jeans (nor were my brothers) even for play.
I never liked trousers on a women even an expensive trouser suit and have I never worn such as an adult.
These days many young women think it smart to go out in jeans and some even wear men's underwear - boxer shorts.
Are they afraid of their femininity?
Policewomen and others may wear trousers (so did the "Land Army" women during the war) but off duty you can be sure that they dress as *women*.
What is the problem with celebrating what we are?

and it hurt a lot. I work in a hotel and we were full tonight. An older black couple came in at 4am and asked if we had any rooms. We didn't and I knew that without having to look it up on the computer because I do all of the paperwork for the hotel. Anyways I apologized and explained that we are the only hotel this far west in Omaha and without missing a beat they said they were going to call a lawyer and he would be calling us in the morning because we discriminate. And then they walked out. I for one enjoy making money so I wouldn't turn away any paying customer unless it looked like they were wasted and they were going to trash the place, so why would they just jump to the conclusion that I was discriminating? Is there a mentality that midwest men are racist or something? Our part of town is not predominately white, in fact there are blacks and latinos that work here at the hotel too and I have never come experienced this kind of situation before. What do you think?

Love is not jealous or boastful. Exodus 34:14 and 20:5
I the Lord your God am a jealous God ... for the Lord, Whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Exodus 34:14 and 20:5

Love] is not arrogant or rude ... it is not irritable or resentful. Joshua 24:13,14; Ecclesiasticus 5:6; and Ezekial 18:3-4
He is a jealous God, He will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. If you forsake the Lord, then He will turn and do you hurt, and consume you... To him belong both mercy and anger, and sinners feel the weight of his retribution ... All life belongs to me; the father's life and the son's life, both alike belong to me. The man who has sinned, he is the one who shall die. Joshua 24:13,14; Ecclesiasticus 5:6; and Ezekial 18:3-4

Its 100 degrees in the desert, and a man lies exhausted and dying of thirst. He has stripped all his clothes off except his shorts, but is still sweating badly from the heat. From out behind a sand dune a salesman appears, staggering under the weight of a load of clean, new, white shirts. smiling winningly, the salesman tries to sell the dying man a shirt. 'Good grief,’ said the man. 'I’m dying of thirst, and boiling to death, the last thing I need is a shirt!' the salesman shrugs, bids him farewell, and disappears behind the sand dune. the parched man crawls along the ground, desperately trying to reach a building he can see in the distance.
As he gets closer he can see that there are all types of cool, refreshing drinks to choose from. Mustering up the last of his strength he goes up to the door. 'Sorry,' said the doorman, barring the way. 'you cant come in without a shirt.'!!!

I mean to questions regarding the existence of their deity, or justification for their beliefs.

I mean like once I asked a christian to justify their belief in a completely irrational religion when rationality is the prime pre-requisite for human existence...
... And he replied: "... Chuck Norris".

I couldn't really argue with that.
I mean.... I reckon the athiestic folks here might actually have their work cut out for them if the christians all referenced Chuck Norris in their replies.

Several verses in the New Testament appear to contain Jesus' predictions that the Second Coming would take place within a century following his death. Most notably, Matthew 10:22-23, 16:27-28, 23:36, 24:29-34, 26:62-64; Mark 9:1, Mark 14:24-30, 14:60-62; and Luke 9:27.

Hows that for time keeping. I would say that he's running a little late. Wouldn't you?

I guess Penelope Keith supports the bromide that `good guys finish last` and thus has decided to pre-empt McDonalds or Starbucks or Costa in an attempt to impose a multiplex cafe on the inhabitants of a small Inverness town.

It is probably true that the objection does reside in that it is Keith; but not because it is Keith but because Keith is not a multicorporation with the power to corrupt local business.

So, ipso facto, if the locals begin competing with the multis and at their own game, what fate awaits poor old Scotland? I`ll tell you what. It`ll be a Denver in the making.

Pity!
