Where does it mention 1914 in the Bible. I am not here to cut down anyones religious beliefs or get a debate going so other people can cut down anyones religious beliefs. I would like for perferabley a Jehovah Witness or of that faith can you please tell me why you speak of something about 1914 and where does it speak of this date in the Bible please? Also I have read in the Bible that no one knows the time or the dates except the Father in Heaven. I might have more questions later because I just really want to know. Thanks everyone and God Bless to all.

Let's say that we agreed to teach Creationism/ID in the science classroom. Creationism/ID are primarily Christian "theories". Ok. So won't that put God and Jesus and the book of Genesis under the scrutiny of experimentation and evidence and peer review and repeatable perdictions. And won't it mean that, like all scientific theories, we would be attempting to disprove the "theory" and enhance it with new and better theories?

So - if you are religious - is that what you would really want ?

If educational institutions are going to evoke responses from students that are not one sided, why is it such a bad idea to teach (I.D.) Intelligent Design as a counter position to evolution?

I got mixed up today with the divine mysteries and forgot to do the crown of thorn one. In the middle of a decade I stopped and went to the beging of that set and did that one. They ended up out of place and I wasnt as mentally involved because of it. Should I have just kept going and done it last?

Romans 10:9 says that if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. It does not exclude demons from this, yet I'm pretty sure somewhere else in the Bible it says that demons can't be saved. I also have never read a passage of Scripture wherein demons called Jesus "Lord", so I figure even if that verse did apply to them, none of them did what was required, and thus none were saved (as far as we know).

Does anybody know if there are nuances to the original Greek, or other supporting verses, that would rule out demons being included in the audience of Romans 10:9?

I'm speaking of these words as adjectives.

Originary is something so uniquely original that it did not derive from something else. The first instance of human langage is originary.

"The origin of language marks off a new stage in human evolution, the beginning of culture, including religion, art, desire, and the sacred. In addition, language makes possible new forms of social organization which are radically different from animal 'pecking order' hierarchies dominated by an alpha male. Because language is so radically different from animal communication systems, the central claim of Generative Anthropology maintains that its origin must have been a singular event..."

The first poem would be 'originary' - the first sonnet would be 'original'.

I think the distinction is interesting, but I can't find any good places online that clarify the distinction in every day terms.

Revelation 22:16 says:
"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star." You could take this verse to mean that Jesus Christ Himself is the Star of David.
Is it possible that early Hebrew Christians referred to the "Star of David" as the Messiah, and the context was later forgotten but the symbol remained?
Any comments and criticisms are welcome.

I've always loosely considered myself Atheist, but am revising that after hearing about Agnosticism ...

I'm not black and white in either direction ... (God or no God.)
I'm open and willing to consider all possibilities ...

just wondering, because I heard Atheism is where you are 100% there is NO God at all ... and I'm not that black and white about much.

so would I be considerd agnostic?

I offered to write the addresses on wedding invitations for an acquaintance (I have calligraphy-like penmanship) because I like doing it and because I think she is a really nice person. We never discussed money for me doing the invitations but I did make it clear that I really like doing it and I wanted to and that it was a favor...I also said that I wasn't expecting to be invited to the wedding just because I was going to do the addresses either...it was all said very lightly and we laughed and she said that whe would like me to do them for her. I dropped the envelopes off to her today and she handed me a thank you note and it had $100 in it. It took me off guard as I did not expect anything for what I did...I just wanted her to like them. I refused the money and gave it back to her...after a couple of times trying to give it back to me she finally stopped. I felt like crying. What I wonder is...should she have put money in the card? Would something else have been more appropriate?
