It doesn't mention 1914 in the Bible.
The Bible makes no mention of how many years the Times of the Gentiles would be.
The year 1914 is arrived at by speculation. It is based on a prophecy that was fulfilled by Nebuchednezzar in Daniel chapter 4. Even though the prophecy was fulfilled, Jehovah's Witnesses like to take things in the Bible and come up with a "dual" fulfillment - a second fulfillment which is entirely their imagination.
Originally, there were about 4 "lines of evidence" that the Watchtower used to prove the year 1914. One was by measuring different things in the Great Pyramid of Giza, which the WT felt was a prophetic "witness".
I think another had to do with the prophecy of Daniel about 2300 days which they calculated ended in 1874 when Jesus came back invisibly to the earth and would spend 40 years "harvesting" the earth for people to take to heaven. 1874 plus 40 = 1914. (They no longer believe Jesus came in 1874; they changed it to 1914.)
I forget the others, but if I remember them, I'll post them here.

The Witnesses used to believe that 1914 would signal the beginning of God's visible kingdom on earth, but now (since 1914 came and went with no sign of Christ descending from the clouds) talk about how Christ began to rule the heavenly kingdom in 1914, and will begin his visible reign on earth before the last person who lived in 1914 dies. This addition is based upon shoddy interpretation of some of the statements of Jesus - when Jesus said "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God"(Luke 9:27) and "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place"(Mark 13:30), he was actually talking to - and referring to - that generation way back in the time frame in which he lived, not by any means to the generation of 1914.

God is the only one who knows the end of time. Nothing is mentioned in the King James version about 1914. People have been trying to predict the end time since the New Testament. It will come when it comes. Just make sure you are spiritually ready

I don't know about 1914 but I do know that no one knows the exact dates before christ (BC) They didn't start keeping track of years until he died. I also know that a ton of different religions believe a ton of different things as far as time goes. My dad is a religiouse fanatic and has all these charts and stuff showing time lines and he claims that he has proof of some sort that the earth has existed for 7,000 years or something like that. But I say. Who cares? No one is ever going to know the real truth until after we die and still maybe not even then so why worry about it? Believe the things that matter to like that God is exists and is good. Or that you get 75 virgins if your a suicide bomber. Or that you come back as a fly if your good or a king if your bad or whatever no one knows the truth.

I don't know if it is mentioned specifically, but there are predictions. It's possible people are saying that a prediction came true in 1914. So, people say, this event of 1914 was predicted....but not specifically by year.
I hope that wasn't confusing, lol.

Scripture tells us that not even the hosts of heaven will know the time of the second coming, but that the time will be cut short so there will still be a remnant of righteous left upon the earth.

It is not in The Bible. And we are NOT to set dates. Only the Father in Heaven knows the time of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. No one knows the date or time, but the Bible does say we can know the season. What is important is, are you ready to meet Jesus if He comes in your lifetime or when your life is required of you? God bless you

From whom did you hear 1914? JW's? They do have their outdated reference books just for their religion and that may be where that came from. I've heard they have tried to destroy old copies because they were so ridiculous. I have one buried in my basement somewhere. Gonna have to find it now. Go ahead and ask away. Some top christian scholars are here to help. Blessings!
