I would, but prefaced with a long list of apologies...then I would show you the Ben and Jerry's section at Wal Mart, and we'd be friends for life!

My country is Canada. It is a land defined by its challenges and how its people have met them. Canada is the second largest country in area, so transportation and communication have been major challenges. This led to the building of a national railway to unite the country. And did you know Canadians spend more time talking on the telephone than anyone else?

Canada was first explored and settled by the French and the English. The French explored as far as the Rockies and the mouth of the Mississipi. However, the English defeated the French in 1760, and Canada became a British territory. The challenge was how to treat French-speaking Canadians. The initial impulse was to deport them (the Acadians who were sent to Louisiana and became Cajuns) or to advocate that they be assimilated (Lord Durham's report). However, the modern answer has been to give French- and English-speaking Canadians equal status (official bilingualism).

Canada has also developed a system of universally available medical care that is the pride of our country and the envy of others. In fact, Tommy Douglas, the driving force behind the creation of that system, was recently voted the greatest of all Canadians.

Finally, Canada is a peace-loving nation that has been involved in many United Nations missions in places such as Cyprus and, more recently, Afghanistan. Lester Pearson, one of our prime ministers, received a Nobel Prize for his peace proposal in the Suez crisis in Egypt.

These are the four main reasons why I am proud to be a Canadian.

It is a piece of Heaven on the Medeteranian Sea,
the gate way to all the East,
the joining point of the old and the new,
It is were the letter was spread by phoneocians
to all over the Globe,
it is the exporter of worthy minds,
it is the home of the ancient Cedars
from where King Solomon brought his wood to built God's temple,
it is were you can ski on woderful slopes and in one hour be swimming in the calm sea,
it is where you can enjoy four seasons in a place that has delicious food,
it is where you learn the value of life
and how to stand after every downfall,
it is where you live in peace with all the differences,
it is what makes you proud to say i'm Lebanses
yes it is LEBANON where the glory shall shine......

I would tell you that being an American citizen is like childbirth.
It is difficult, tedious, There is always something going on, that makes you wonder if you are going to make it, and then
after a long while, You realize that you have something that, no matter how ugly, no matter how much troublel it is, It is simply the very best thing in the world. There is NO other country like it.

Hello Sweet Thing - they say the good ole USA is the land of the free and the home of the brave. I wouldn't say free, I would say we are enslaved to getting ahead of everyone else. People here have forgotten the 2nd greatest commandment - Love thy neighbor as thy self. Don't come here, Americans are very greedy. Brave, well yes you have to be to fight to get what everyone else has. Not a good place at all

My country is the Philippines. It is located in the south china sea. It has lots of beautiful beaches. Our culture is diverse (mixed with Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, American, and many more) since we have been in contact with different cultures for many years.
