I was in a Catholic Church when an elderly man had his oxygen tank fall on the ground, ripping the tubes from his nose. Everyone sat still, listening to the priest and ignoring the man who was in need. I was the only person to leave my seat and come to the aid of the man.
I think that is really sad that people would think continuing to listen to the priest and ignoring a person in need was the right thing to do in a "house of God".

I haven't seen or heard anything, but I will admit to doing something pretty hysterical. Once when I was an alterboy, me and a friend ate all the Eucharist (host) while we were preparing for the next mass. Funny thing is, all the people who went to the next mass didn't get any host and we didn't get caught because we were long gone from there. What can I say... the Eucharist tasted good! Do I regret it? hell no, it was fun and brings back good memories.

That God doesn't exist. An Orthodox priest told me this when he invited me to commit adultery with him. Do you wonder why I stay away from churches?

I'm Catholic, but was visiting a hardcore Fundamentalist church once, and heard a preacher telling people to whip their infants regularly because babies were born with sin, and regular whippings were necessary to keep them from sinning further. They were referring to newborns and children who couldn't even walk yet as sinners who were prone to demonic possession.

That there is no such thing as dinosaurs.

I was shocked when I first found out that people think that.
