I am just curious. I've met people or friends who are way more shyer than me and I thought they must like to listen more etc. But as I got to know them-they had more to say than me, I couldn't even get a word out-and I do like to talk.-lol. And, of course with myspace and facebook; youtube; live journal-I've come to realize that there are more people full of themselves than we think. Even those shy ones, deep down inside-it is about them-rarely will people actually care more about others than themselves. What do you think?...Do people seriously love to talk about themselves-if givena chance-even those you wouldn't think of etc?.,.

Solid, scientific evidence first if possible. Then arguments of reason.

I wanted to make you aware of some numbers! Did you know that the U.S population is 302,461,569. And that Muslims are 0.6 % of that population? How can we represented correctly when we are the absolute minority????

Yet there are plenty of us in Yahoo QA and 360 on a daily basis and we try our best to show true Islam and to show that we are good people. looking at the numbers makes you think that we Muslims here in the U.S are really trying doe it not? I mean we are only 0.6% of the overall population and look at how many of us are here today in QA trying to take away misconceptions!

Folks, we are 1.625 billion people in the world all different race all different backgrounds and walks of life. Should we forever pay for the mistakes of others? Just a handful of people we do not even know?

Is that not the truth???

Even if the universe was intelligently designed, a whole new
can of worms opens up.
What can we say of the "designer"? A powerful alien in a
parallel universe (quantum physics has all but accepted that
other universes exist!) or a higher dimension, maybe?
Could it be that our universe (and everything in it) is a computer simulation, perhaps even done by creatures only a
few decades ahead of our current technological level -and that the entire last billion years here, has occupied only minutes in their universe (the "real" one!)
Maybe a big-G "God" DID do it. However, his/her/its true name is "Snarfelyabbagedoodleyutzflorkbait" and he/she/it will not give his/her/its Revelation unto humanity until the year 49,007 A.D...
How is it that "Intelligent Design Theory" proponents always make an immediate (and unwarranted) jump to assuming that the Christian god is the designer, and not the Taoist god, or the Native American "Coyote?" (Muslims are just as bad about this, for what it's worth...)

Er, that wasn't phrased very well, but hopefully you know what I mean.

This is a follow-up to a question I posted two weeks ago asking non-Pagans what, exactly, is IS that Wiccans do that is so "evil".

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am8.EgtEtyJKQB7qGxmtrcnsy6IX?qid=20070716150147AAyk6N8

It got next to no answers from non-Pagans stating that we do ANYTHING "bad", which suggests to me that beyond an ill-formed and general prejudice, most non-Pagans don't have any solid reasons for believing that we actually do anything "wrong".

What is your experience of this? Have you received any specific criticisms, beyond "You worship Satan!", about what exactly we do that is "evil"?

Tell me one or two!
Songs or lyrics that resonate with a deeply held belief you have. One for me is Johnny Cash's song "Man in Black"

I don't understand. To an outsider like me, Evangelical Christianity and Mormonism seem to have so much in common. They are both far right social conservatives.
If I were them, I would join together and elect Mitt Romney president.
But it seems that that will never happen because Evangelicals think Mormons are the devil.
Why is this?
I really don't understand.
Mormons, you helped the Evangelicals by voting for their Mr. Bush. Utah was the strongest supporter of Bush with over 70% support! Obviously, that was the Mormons. But will they return the favor? No, they won't. The Evangelicals hate Mitt Romney, and they hate Mormons.
I want to know, Mormons, how this makes you feel?
Does it make you feel sad? If I were you, I would feel hurt.
What are you going to do about it?

I know someone's going to look at this and say, "oh because it's MAN MADE"
I am going for religious opinions mainly but if you want to say something like that please back it up with science as to why that would be so. Is there proof that God is completely unreal? Because if there was I don't get why there are so many people still believing in the supernatural.
anyway
I am asking this because of my contact MCR fans and my many answerers for my previous question *thank you so much*

"If God created everything we know then he/she/it created Islam, Christianity, Taoism, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and every other religion in the world.

If one of those religions is the 'true' religion then God must have screwed up when he created the other religions - and my understanding is that God is infallable and can't make a mistake.

So if there is a God, then all religions MUST be valid and there can't be one 'true' religion.

That is the very foundation of the conflict !!

Islam honors both sons.

Christians and Jews only honor the second son.

In the Dark Ages when the plague swept Europe, the church blamed the "witches" and not only killed them, but their cats as well. We know now that the plague was spread by the rats, so by killing the cats of witches, the church actually helped the plague spread!
Then during the Little Ice Age, when the grain crops failed, a great famine occured. Once the potatoe was introduced and found to thrive in the climate change conditions, the church labeled it an "evil" food and warned people NOT to eat them. Thousands died a slow painful death for listening to the church.
Others ate the potatoes and lived!
So considering what we know from history, why do people still believe what the church tells them to believe?
Do they really believe that God told the church to do these things?
