I come around this section when the questions get a lil too repetitive in the sports section. You can only yap about Kobe Bryant, Michael Vick, and Barry Bonds so much. When I'm here I don't talk trash or start fights. Unless you count relentless arguments over seperation of church and state because I really feel that many christians are way too closed minded about that subject.

To answer your two subquestions, yes and yes.

But, really it's just fun talking to people who have made up this entire universe, and backstory just to feel like their short time in existence means something.

And what do they chose, that they are here to worship a God who is all love, but sometimes likes a little bloodshed....it's normal.

Amongst a few other questionable points of religion, I like discussing and seeing how people can cope with the fact they base their lives on faulty logic.

I believe evolution is true, some of it on faulty logic and questionable evidence, but it's not such a strong believe that it affects my day to day life, and if disproven I would be interested in the "how".

They are here to do the former: antagonize and talk trash. Seems every word that they print is one form of illogical and completely unscientific junk or another. Since anger and self-centeredness are the norm for them where would they be if not here to make fun of people with faith in God. Some say they are here to educate. Ha! that's a big laugh! Educate one to close-mindedness and hatred; arrogance and flawed logic. You must remember they have nothing but FAITH. Faith in the foolish.

Actually I am in the Spirituality section and I was wondering what on Earth you were doing here! Is it some odd obsession?

Why don't you go back to Religion with all the other believers you, you .. believer.. you! Leave us to commune in peace!

1) To learn about where the minds of religious people are, because they are illogical for a great deal
2) Atheists have an opinion on religion. Where would they go to express it, the cat's section? They have just as much right to be here as you.
3) Atheists can be spiritual.

Do you realize this question pops up once every 10 minutes? Why don't you use your questions for something more useful?

Sure I am interested in religion, it affects my life. I have studied it so I know a bit about it. Seems like religious people have an interest in atheists too since they ask them quite a few questions on here.

Yes, I have an interest in religion.

Do you have an interest in anything in which you are not and never will be an active participant? I'm sure you do. Politics without a desire to run for office? Science without a desire to work in a lab? Psychology without an interest in counseling?

I have an interest in any human activity, and a desire to help others by teaching what I have learned over a lifetime. The most important thing is that there is no reason to believe in any sort of god, that any such belief is provably useless, and religion is not only one of mankind's most significant wastes of time and effort but also its most significant corrupter of the ability to think logically.

I have a genuine interest in religion, and the workings of the human mind. I'm exposed to ideas here that I ordinarily wouldn't be, and it's fascinating, man.
