i usually just ask the jehoviah's witnesses their home address and when they get slightly offended and upset i call them hypocrites for finding out my name and address but refusing to give their own out. It's slightly amusing.

If you are in search of a religion I would say that JW is one of the least worse. But if one is looking for a true relationship with God I'ld advise him to read the Bible with no prejudice, ask God to show you the truth.
Jesus said:" I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but by me."
Religion is man made. The solution for the salvation of humanity is God made. The instructions for this are all in the Bible.
God promised he will reveal himself to all who earnestly search him.
We are in the end times. The alarm is on. Please start searching while he is easily attainable.

To be honest, in the past ten years I have had little problem with them. They do not come around this area much, and anytime I have ever had them come to my house, I have simply told them I was not interested, and to please not come back to my home. Most of the time they have left me alone after that. I did have one instance about ten years ago, where I let slip that I was Wiccan, and somehow they found out that we ran a Wiccan Church out of the building we also lived in. About a week later, they were protesting in front of it, so they kind of went overboard with that, but it made things work out for the better for me. After a few days they stopped, but that group where I lived at the time were a little more militant than most Jehovah's witnesses you will ever see. Any other time I have ever had dealings with them, after a short talk they left me along and never came back, so I don't really have much of a problem with them.

Personally no, of course, I am a Witness and no that we are in no way trying to "sell" our beliefs. We are simply offering to share them. If it is a problem for you request that we do not come back, while we will still need to stop by once or twice a year, as people do move, we will strive to respect your choice. Please understand, we do not want to waste time, yours or ours.

In my neighborhood it doesn't happen, at least not that I ever anwered the door. My husband said once he did, and he just closed it again as soon as the spiel started.
I do definitely hate it when it is my Mom's house. She walks with a cane and I hate that they bring her to the door for nothing, she is a Catholic, and is not changing.

I only had the JWs come to my house once, and I took the pamphlet and said I was always interested in learning about the religions of others.
They've never come back.
I don't get it.

dangit, i'm tired of anyone who tries to "sell" their religion. it's not mcdonalds. every office complex i see has a 'church', and i'll give you 10:1 that they're trying to be 'hip' to entice people. somethin' just strikes me as wrong 'bout that. (and o, i'm not blasting religion, it's the fast food religion that bugs me.... but i guess if you're starving, it's better than nothing. heck i don't know)

YES YES YES!!! There was this one Jehova Witness who came to my house once and asked my mom if they could talk about the Bible for a few minutes. My mom, a Catholic, got into some very heated discussions w/ this lady... it was pretty funny.

I wish they would come, but not possible now.
My old house was "marked," since I went after them for an hour debating JW and the Bible. They left in a hoot.
"Obviously, I can't change your mind, and YOU'RE NOT GONNA CHANGE MINE!"
strange, they came over to change my mind, not for me to change theirs.
The Holy Spirit leads in mysterious ways.
