I have been having evil thoughts about God, and I am scared that he woun't forgive me, or won't let me into Heaven when I die. I was thinking stuff like what if the Pagan gods are real, and they send me to Hell, but I know that God is real, and they are false. I'm scared because I thought that maybe something I did in the past like look up adult sites, or think other evil thoughts like that God or Jesus is a myth might be triggering me like this. Can somebody give me some Bible versus or advice to help me through this. I'm going back to Church, and working on getting baptised.

Why didn't they consistantly replace LORD with Jehovah in all of the places that LORD was found?

Why leave some of the scriptures where LORD (Jehovah) refers to Jesus, out?

They say that we are brainwashed, yet it is non-LDS Christian pastors who (sometimes) use classic brainwashing techniques in their revival meetings? They say we are too afraid to leave the church even if we know it's wrong, yet they will tell their children that to leave the church is to burn in hell?

I think it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Some people seem to take delight in hating, and I see verbal hating when coming on this section. Very rude people. Do they get pleasure out of hating someone? How does dwelling on hate benefit them?

I saw a question basically saying instead of arguing and fretting about which god has the bigger d*** we should simply be good to each other, be productive and try to help your brother.
This religous fellow comes along and says,"Its selfish, we should be serving god!" Do we as a species just have a giant inferiority complex? We simply arent worthy of existence unless it is to serve?

I try... but I just dont get you people.

Christ tells us that bad fruit cannot come from a good tree. Homophobia is an example of bad fruit, because it leads to acts such as the following:

A Texas man charged in the slaying of Southwest Airlines flight attendant Kenneth Cummings Jr. said from jail that he was doing God's work when he went looking in Houston gay bars for a gay man to kill.

"Sexual perversion" is the "worst sin," Terry Mark Mangum told reporters July 21 from the Brazoria County jail where he awaits trial, explaining that he believed "with all my heart that I was doing the right thing" when he stabbed Cummings in the head with a six-inch knife.

Cummings' charred body was found days later on Mangum's grandfather's ranch near San Antonio.

(As reported online in The Advocate, 7/27/07)

"Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit." (Matthew 12:33)

I will not play at tug o' war.
I'd rather play at hug o' war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.

This is to all who have given ugly stupid answers and tried to ruin a fun time. Some people actually LIKE to look up things in the Bible and learn. I don't answer YOUR questions in an ugly way...even if I don't agree with you. If I don't like your questions then I choose to ignore you. That would be the mature thing to do. There is plenty of space for all of us here.

That do to all the recent questions regarding Ishmael's covenant, I have fund out that Hagar, the mother of Ishmael (the patriarch of the Arabs) worshipped Jehovah? Not Allah, but Jehovah.
Would that not mean that Ishmael also worshipped Jehovah?
Genesis 16:13 Then she began to call the name of Jehovah, who was speaking to her.

Does this mean that the Jews, Christians and Muslims all share a common bond in that they all refuse to use God's personal name in their worship?

Using Strong's Exhaustive Concardance, we see that the word LORD, used in the 1611 King James Version, and most other Bible translations is really Jehovah.
In Strong's the Hebrew/Chaldee word is # 3068-Yehovah, transliterated into English? Jehovah.

So (sorry for my excitement) why do these three major religions not use God's personal name in their prayers and worship?

I don't believe that the theory of evolution is correct. Instead I believe the story of creation in the Bible. What is funny is that non-believers call me a sheep for listening to the Church instead of thinking for myself. The non-believers want me to wake up, start thinking for myself, and then listen to them and believe the way THEY say that I should believe. Explain that to me, all of you out there who don't believe in creationism and think that ALL Christians are stupid, mindless, robots. Instead of toeing the line with the Church, I am supposed to toe the line with the so-called "free-thinking" realists. If anyone questions the validity of the THEORY of evolution, then they are ridiculed, mocked, derided, and laughed at. How does that type of behavior exemplify a open-minded and free-thinking society. If you believe that there is no God and that evolution explains life on this planet, then you have made an assumption just as I have. I assume there is a God. You assume there isn't.
