Is it really just "existence without end"? That seems to be what most people think. But that's almost dismal, isn't it?
I would submit that "eternal" is better understood in the sense of being "abundant", "complete", "fullfilled", "infinite". Jesus said he came that we might have life and to have it more abundantly. It's not the length of time that makes life "eternal". It is the QUALITY. In fact if you read John's gospel, eternal life is not something we will gain one day after we die. It is something we partake of NOW. Eternal life is LIFE without boundaries, LIFE set free!

Life without death, something that can only be acheived after you die, lol. Sounds funny huh? You have to die to get eternal life.

A way for christians to deal with the scary fact that we ARE ALL GOING TO DIE SOME DAY!! And we are going to die.. die..die... that's it, nothing else, nothing more exciting, just die!
