I mean you dont have to pray you just bow your head because you dont want to hurt any bodies feelings ? because I havent told my family yet that im atheist and i bow my head out of respect but i some times feel im leading them on like i believe in there god or some thing . do you think im leading them on ?

I am going to a harry potter party tonight and I wanted to dress up like somebody from slytherin because 3 of my other friends are going as Ravenclaw Gyrffondor and Hufflepuff and I am Slytherin I don't want to spend money for the costume Does anyone have any ideas for a costume (the slytherin colors are Green/sliver or gray)

First off it is in the pure spirit of open-mindedness that I ask this:

Someone dropped off a copy of the most recent "Watchtower" and Awake at my door last week which I just finished reading...and in response I have a few questions.

I was reading the "Ethnic Harmony, Is it possible?" and I noticed that it says that the root of all racism and hate is not knowing God. My Question is, what is your stance on different religions worshiping God? (Ie: Jews, Muslims, etc). I see a lot of racism/discrimination against those who follow other religions. How do you handle opposing religious beliefs?

The Other Q? That I have is in response to the article, "Did They Really Live that Long"? In the most Recent Copy of Awake!...Is this in reference to an everlasting life in heaven or on earth and does this mean that God is reliquishing the concept of original sin from our hearts? And does this apply to all mankind or just those who are Jehovah's Witnesses?

… all of its god believing people just made a few changes?

If Jews and Muslims and Christians would only back off of a small number of the things typical of themselves that others can't seem to feel comfortable with, would our combined world population seem more agreeable to all.

For example; If they'd just give up on the ideas of life after death, and heaven and hell... just those three things... wouldn't that make a difference? And, what if they just stopped all their talk about God existing and creating the world... ? I know the rest of us, all the non-believers, would be a lot happier for it.

So..does anyone else think this simple notion is worthy of consideration?

I cannot comprehend this one.

I never choose to be straight, i see a hot chick i get horny. I never thought about it, i never made a note and said this is how i should think, thats just how it is.

I am guessing its the same for homosexuals, they see a hot guy/girl and presto they get horny..

Now does acting out those impulses make a person straight or gay or does the impulse itself dictate what you are?

All these people that talk about a choice, are they lying to themselves about what THEY "choose"?

The only people that i can see making any choice at all would be those that actively seek something OTHER then what they are attracted to.

What am i missing?

I live in apartment and my upstairs neighbors are sooooooo loud. I know living in apartment comes with some noise.. but this is seriously ridiculous! There are two ladies above me, both very very very heavy, and they stomp around the apartment at all hours of the day. I have a infant who needs to sleep, and these huge women have woke her up on many occasions. I'm not really sure how to resolve this issue due to the fact the reason they are so loud is because the are so heavy, but I'm sick of headahes the give me and that my child hardly gets a full nap when they are home. What should I do?

Why is the Jewish lobby so strong and dominant in Washington and why are there issues so important? Why not Darfur? where genacide is taking place at this very moment? Why are Jews so well hated throught society and around the world today?And Why
does the world stop because of the "Jewish " cause ? And why so much attention is being brought to their causes and no african causes?Is it because of their control of the economy like they have done in society past and present?And Why do they claim that God only talked to them and no one else who are they to make such a distinction?
