Especially when they don’t really ANSWER THE QUESTION ASKED, but just respond with glib one-liners that repeat what the other half dozen atheists who responded before them already said.

For example, I asked a question last week addressed to people of certain four religious groups asking how they reconciled their belief in God with the obvious reality of pain & death.

Several atheists chimed in just to say, in effect, we don’t have these philosophical problems because we don’t believe in God.

Well, DUH. I wasn’t asking you.

And the first guy who responded already said it anyway. You weren’t adding anything to the discussion.

This happens most of the time.

Why does it have to be now?
Why is it that some christians try so hard to "save" people, yet when their in heaven they just give up. Kinda like saying,"Screw them their in hell now."

Remember we have Freedom of the Press in the US. What would be the motive for the various news agencies to "exagerrate and manipulate'?

Are all the bombings of innocents fake? You mean they really don't do that? Where is your proof?

Someone just asked christians if they would get angry if the pledge said "one nation under Allah", and they defended their double standard (as in they would be allowed to be upset in that situation but atheists aren't allowed to be upset that the pledge says under God), by saying this is a christian nation, it was founded on christianity, ect.

So my question is: Is the U.S. a christian nation?

If a fair maiden kisses a frog which instantly changes into a handsome prince we would call it a Fairy Tale.
But if the frog takes 40 million years to turn into a prince we call it evolution.

Do fairy tales come in many forms?

Leviticus 19:19
"Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material."

I don't want to upset the Almighty and not get into Heaven so is this referring to the same piece of clothing, or can I wear a shirt and pants each made of different materials?

How do I get God to be my personal shopper?

Does anyone know of a good forum for having spiritual discussions, where it is not so hateful as in Yahoo Answers? I skim through a ton of questions, and it seems if a questions is about being Atheist, or about being Christian - there are at least 8 immature, hateful answers... I'm not pointing any fingers at a particular group or faith - everyone seems to be stupid...

Im just an open person, taking my own little faith journey, and I would love to find an open forum where people can talk and share ideas with feeling the need to shoot each other down and always "win"

Any ideas, or is this a silly thing to hope for...?

What do you think about atheists who post ambiguous questions based on their lack of understanding for the sole purpose of making a point about Christianity and/or ridiculing it, and who then fail to give any examples of what they mean, or of their supposed "point"?

during sex.

after saying "oh sht, oh sht, oh sht" . she finally let out "dmn ngga!"

then she said "oops" but I was too busy to even bother with addressing that.

When it was over, she apologized. again and again. Even though I have never heard her use that word before. I use it all the time, so I wasn't offended by her. It wasn't until she said "oops" that it had even occurred to me what had happened.

but the fact that she keeps apologizing bothers me more than what she said. what do I tell her?

would Christians be opposed to saying it?

If so, is it because you do not want someone else's God in your national pledge of allegiance?

If not, what about "under God or gods"?
