I suspect the trolls are everywhere. Still, you'd do better in a moderated forum. You'd also do better in a discussion format where you are allowed to post more than once on a given topic. I'd advise Googling around and reading what you find. Besides belief.net, there is spiritual-forum.net (and 36,000 other hits for "spiritual forum". Like any spiritual journey, the answer won't come to you, you have to find the answer.
Good luck.

Spiritual topics are very hard to convey
through questions because a lot of circumstances or things we know or laws
we live by do not support the things of the spirit, I can honestly say for myself and maybe for many others we know little about the spiritual side of ourselves and how it grows.
And if people would take that bold step foward to deadened the flesh before they write and open themselves up to the demension they share in the spiritual world
of the unseen before god, then life would really open up to everybody in a sense of what we really want to learn is actually things that cant be studied or learned but we all are some sort of body as extensions
of gods mind.
Im not really sure about the inner self of man but I have a great feeling that there is
much to learn about the spiritual side of man.
I would say the spiritual end of this listing
should be taken off and just say religion, then everyone would be happy here.
Open up another group that just says spirituality for people who want to really share their thoughts on non-evidential topics
that are truley food for the spirit.

Try the Beliefnet discussion boards. There are debates there, too, but last time I checked, they don't seem to be quite as vitriolic as some of the discussions here. One nice thing is that they often keep the "debate" boards separate from the other discussion boards. For instance, there will be a separate forum for debating Pentecostals or Mormons or whoever, and a different forum for simply learning about these groups.

You'll have to look up the information yourself and do independant study. Religioustolerance.org is a good place to start. Also check out the religion section of your local bookstore for some good reads. The sad thing is, the internet, especially chat rooms and message boards, has become an outlet for cowards to say mean and stupid things that they'd never say in real life so I'd stray away from that kind of thing.

It's kind of a silly thing to hope for, atleast in forums like this.
I love to come here and see what things are going on and put in my two cents, but it's not a good place for someone trying to find their "path" in life.
Maybe try doing a search in google or yahoo and observing some until you find one you like. Here, however,it's kind of a childish back and forth for the most part.
Good luck in finding a non-partisian forum. Come back and let us know if you do.

Speaking for myself, the concept of "exploring spirituality" is a journey into irrationality I couldn't advise anyone to take. The problem begins with the very word, which is undefined at best and an opening for con artists in most cases.
Whatever journey you decide to take, I advise always asking one question: What evidence do you have for your claims? If there is none, or no valid, reliable, testable evidence, then reject those claims without a second thought.

Most of my experience is with Pagan forums of one type or another, but the ones I've visited will explore interfaith tolerance to some extent or another.
I think Beliefnet has some forums, but I think they're split off into the different religions.
If you mean a truly non-sectarian forum, I don't know if there is one (but I'd love to know the link if you do find one). It would require a strong, fair, and very involved Moderating team to keep running...

I hate you for asking that!!! kidding. No, you would think that spiritual forums would be loving since that's the core nature of spirit and God, but it's just the opposite, it seems to bring out the worst in some people.

Try attending a 12 step program. You don't have to be any religion and you can be atheist. It is a spiritual program and they like to say religion is for those who fear hell and spirituality is for those who have been and don't want to return. In my town my friend goes to one and it isn't for any specific problem and they call it recovery. They meet at the church but are unaffiliated with it.
