Dont think you non-smokers are going to live forever because you dont smoke, living kills also, and who wants that extra 5 years in the nursing home, weeing in your pants, not me.

Sometimes, right after dinner, I wish I could light up. But I can't. I won't. It doesn't happen often, just now and then I think about it. And the thought goes away as soon as I think about something else.
I smoked for 42 years, much of that very heavily. You don't give that up and not have a stray thought about smoking now and then.
Still, I feel so much better since I quit, 5 years ago. Won't go back to it. Ruins health, and wastes money that I can use for better things.

Gosh when was the last time you went the pictures? We havent been able to smoke in the flea pits since 'close encounters of the third kind.' lol. I miss smoking in the pub too. The pub doesnt smell or feel the same. The smoke smell covered up the stale beer and sweaty armpit kinda smells. Boo hoo, I miss it.

i quit years back, i don't miss smoking but sometimes crave one after a nice meal. I would not go back to it for anything, after I found out how much smokers reek when I became a nonsmoker i was mortified I had smelled that way so long. Here in Cali where I live we have been unable to smoke indoors except at home for many years. Most smokers here are found in little masses in a designated smoking zone. I am very glad i am not part of their little club anymore.

About anywhere. Haven't been able to smoke at a bar or restaurant for a few years. Now they're banning it at colleges, within 40 feet of any building, public parks, condos, apartments, even sometimes on the sidewalk in front of your own house. So you're relegated to your car and that's as bad as talking on the phone and driving! It's like smokers have become second class citizens.

Since when have you been able to smoke at the pictures? I miss smoking in my van, because it is a company vehicle, I'm no longer able to light up. I just stop every 500 yards or so and have a drag. Does my employer not realise that my productivity is being drastically reduced? Bleeding do gooders. Lets hear it for the nicotine brigade!

Hello ' john h ' :
This is a good question ... gives us a chance to get our ya-ya's out !
First of all, in a liberal society, this overly strict smoking-ban law seems very communistic !
I miss having a smoke at work. We can't smoke anywhere on company property !

At bars and restuarants. Some of the best times to smoke are while getting intoxicated or after a meal.....
