Look around you- look down at your wrist as you type, everything moves perfectly in rhythm, smoothly and in order. You don't have to concentrate to move a certain finger, everything just works. How could there not be a divine Creator.

I believe because I know in my heart He is here with me. He has never let me down, following His words have never brought me trouble or more pain than was worth the rewards at the end. I feel more "safe" being a firm believer than I would in not believing.

If I had the space and time I would tell you the miracles I have seen happen in my life; I would describe to you the prophecies in the Bible that have come true.

I believe because my life would be nothing without Him. My existence would be meaningless, I owe Him everthing. For every breath, every moment of peace in my day I must thank Him. That is the least I can do.

i believe in Him because He called on me to be one of His people. it is true that everyone will hear the Word, but not everyone is called to Him. i know a few atheists and we have discussed faith in all of its different forms and i tried to see things from their perspective. when i did this, i felt very empty and alone! if you have ever had God's hand on you, you will completely understand the horror of not having it there any more.
for the atheists out there, if you would imagine for a moment that God does exist and He does want a personal relationship with you, and ask, with a sincere heart (if you can), if He would simply reveal Himself to you. not necessarily come into your life and make everything peachy, but to just reveal Himself, then maybe you could have just an inkling of what Christians know and feel. i am not asking you to BELIEVE or to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior! i say this because it's very difficult to form opinions about something you haven't the slightest clue about. i do not judge you or your beliefs and i don't expect you to judge mine or call me an idiot because i believe. i find that very few atheists even give any thought to the possibility that God exists. from a scientific perspective, you are not looking at all the possible variables to the equation.

just my thoughts...infinite love and gratitude!!!

If I say that something exists beyond us, something that I don't know, I have a 100% chance of being right becaue I don't know everything.

First of all, God has no definition in the first place. Look in Exodus. That part right before Moses goes to the Pharaoh to tell him to let the Children of Isreal go free.

Moses asks the voice, "Which god should I say sent me?" The voice says, according to the King James, "I am what I am."

Here's where it get's interesting. If you go to the original text in Hebrew, the voice simply answered, "Yahwah." That's a simple verb, meaning "to be." There is no other description given by God about himself.

Because I have had experience. I have looked and found. I have listened and heard. I have opened my mind and my soul and been touched. This is all about personal experience, and anyone who truly believes will agree. There is no way to explain my beliefs without you experiencing my life.

It's sorta like this: the sky is always the bluest directly above you. You can tell everyone that and describe what you see, and even asssume they know what you're talking about because they have their own perspective on the same phenomenon, but they can never see the same blue sky you see.

because He loved me when i thought no one did. He was there for me when i cried out to the silence in pain. He knows me better than anyone. He is my Provider, Prince of Peace, and everything to me. He washed away my sins and made me new again through the blood of Jesus.
i can never even fully begin to explain why I believe in God..

Hello sweet Jazz.. :)

I was going to commit suicide, but when my brother came to get my children to go with him to church, he asked me to go to with him, I told him I was not dressed, but he said he would wait..I cursed at the Pastor and told him he was a Jesus Freak (I hated Christians) all the Pastor did was tell me he loved me and Jesus did to..Yeh right.. :(

The following Sunday I went back to the Church, to curse some more at the Pastor, but before I could say anything, he asked who wanted to be baptized that afternoon, my hand went right into the air..so I was baptized right behind a little Church, where as a young child, I would make fun of all the goody goodies, that went there on Sunday..

I asked Jesus into my heart, I did not feel any different that day. I even smoke a joint on the way home..

But the next day I no longer had any doubt..I was quoting the Bible..(I never even had read it before)..My heart felt clean, as though I was white as snow..I was drug free..my old life which I thought was exciting, compared nothing to the unspeakable joy I was feeling..I saw everything differently, in a New light..I understood what other Christians meant, when they told me that they Loved me..

God bestowed down upon me, Love for my ten year old little girl, whom I could not Love on my own..she came downstairs to see what the noise was, I said I Love you Sherry, we cried and hugged one another..the emptiness was gone and His Love took it's place..

I also found out what it means to be a believer in Christ..you think that your friends, will see the change in your life..and they do..but it is not something that they want, they no longer wanted to be my friend, they made fun of me, because I no longer swore..smoked pot etc.. :(

For Whom the Son hath set Free is Free Indeed.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..your Friend..In Christ.. :)

Faith.

I have experienced what God can do thru the power of prayer. If you need to see to believe than talk to God. I'll pray for you and ask God to speak to your heart. He can be your rock when every thing and every one lets you down or fades away.

He changed my life. I was a lying, cheating, gambler. All of those things disappeared from my life the moment I confessed my sins and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Certainly, not all of my bad behaviors were removed that day, but for some reason, he decided that he would do that for me that day.

His Word is true. I have tested Him many times, and he has always proven Himself to be faithfully represented in His Bible.

Thanks for asking.

You must answer this question for yourself.
I Believe. I believe that He is able. I believe that He is able to keep that which I commit unto Him. I believe His promises are YES and AMEN.
I believe His Word is LIFE and there is no life apart from Him.
Why?
Because HE first loved ME, and made a DOOR to which I can come to HIM.
Jesus said " I AM the DOOR"

Religion in and of itself is a source of Hope. Religion gives us purpose in our lives.

I think that poeple pick the religion that works the best for them in the environment that they live in, that will add the most positive light in their lives. You have to ask yourself without whatever t is that you believe in would you be whole? Whether or not there is anything out there we feel safe becuase of what we chosse to believe in.

Roman Catholicism works for me. I believe in God, becuase I can talk to him just like I would a human best friend. God is my best friend becuase he understands everything about me and can help me choose the right thing to do in tough situations.
