I mean my sister has a boyfriend, and besides, I'm not sure if it'd be okay for her. Plus, he's my friend, but I don't want him for my sister (even if she didn't have a boyfriend) because the guy is so naive.

I was watching this show on the discovery channel about the Book of Revelation. They had scholars on the show who argued that that Book of Revelation was written by some guy named John long after Jesus died. Some of the scholars were fundamentalist Christians who argued that doomsday was made up to increase church attendence and that Hell and the endtimes really arn't true. They argued that even the worst sinners have a place in Heavon. Even the Vatican has decided recently to look over the thruthfulness of the Book of Revelation. The Vatican is considering removing the Book of Revelation entirely from the Bible. What are your thoughts on this????

To theists… you know how everybody has a general perception of reality that is made from a combination of knowledge and belief and as both an individual’s and the group’s knowledge increase, it tends to encroach into the belief half of the perception; do you find yourselves denying knowledge to maintain your beliefs? I think it’s safe to say that your perception seems to be definitely in favor of belief, I’m curious; do you deny that you are denying and ignore your own ignorance?

I've seen alot of people post on here claiming to believe in their church and the bible, yet those same people slam ghost questions saying there is no such thing as ghosts.

So, if one believes in the holy trinity, the holy spirit, or the holy ghost, how can one say there is no such thing as ghosts.

Ghosts are throughout the bible. Spirits, demons, angels, ghosts... all are there.

I personally am very curious and go so far as to ghost hunt with my wife and friends. I've seen and heard some very interesting things. And it has been enough to keep me wanting more. I have never subscribed to a religion and I would definitely define myself as an agnostic.

So, now that I've got that out of the way, back to the question.

How can one believe in the Holy Ghost/Spirit or the holy trinity without believing in ghosts and spirits?

Seems like one heck of a contradiction to me.

Why is it we cant go out in public naked...wern't adam and eve naked in the garden...maybe god love to see us naked thats why he's not showing up anytime soon. He wants us to love our neighbours, sometimes the only way to love them..is by seeing them naked. I think.....

I've heard that all human life originated from Africa. Is this proven, or is it just a theory? Is this a Biblical reference? (keep in mind i'm not religious so I wouldnt know)

I already have 4 children and would like another child.
Does anyone believe that children are a gift from the Lord?
Being busy at home with my children is so appealing.
This day and age most people think it is insane at my age(almost 42) I love being a wife and mother!

If Jesus' married and have children--what would be their status?
Like--Mary is called "Mother of God".
Maybe Jesus' wife/wives would be called "Mother of Believers"
or "Wife of God". His son maybe "Special Son of God"?
Daughter of God? Descendents as having blue blood?

Lawyer asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. The answer was love God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind. And, Love neighbor as yourself. And who is the neighbor? A "lowly" Samaritan who was living this message. So, if a person of unknown belief system who was looked down upon during that time period can have eternal life, then Christians and non Christians alike can as well, agree?

I can understand the fact that one feels cheated and abused, and if it's my sibling, I'd kook the duce in the head. Certainly, most of us who have never been victimized that way don't really understand.

But does it badly traumatizes the person as displayed by some who have? How does it stack up to other traumas in life, such as loss of a loved one, or accidents, divorces, misfortunes, etc?

I read so many idiotic answers saying "homosexuality is a choice because God doesn't force people to sin."

So, since sexuality is a "choice," would any of you like to recount the time you made the decision to be attracted the the opposite sex?

I woke up this morning with this funny thought what if the rapture happened in the second century ad. due to the small amount of Christians at the the time it seems unlikely that the historians would have mentioned it.

Are we all living in hell and is that why there are so many atheists. the rapture has already happened and we missed it so we delude our selves into believing that it is happening in the future.

Doesn't the bible state to not let your right hand know what your left hand is doing when it comes to giving? I'm glad he gives money away but it makes me question his motives when he tells everybody. I'd like some Christian perspective on this. Also, 10% of his income probably still affords him a very rich lifestyle.
